Worked great
Loved the poles. They are nice and tall so my husband can walk under without hitting his head. One of the prongs broke from the stake - do not use a mallet to get into the ground. If your ground is soft after a rain, they tend to shift because of the weight but they have been up for a few months and have withstood some crazy winds.

Fantastic!!!
Sturdy and fantastic! Easy to put together and we have purchased 3 pairs for our back yard!

Tall if stay in ground
Seem good, wish the spikes where longer since they are so tall once we hung lights they tilted and would not stay in ground. We even put them in gravel to tey and support them.

Will not hold up most lights
The poles are decent quality and thick but no matter how much you pound them into the ground, they will eventually lean and the lights will sag. We tried them with the Amazon lights that are medium heavy...They didn't last a day before the weight of the lights caused them to lean. If you have a way to put a pipe in the ground about a foot or two, you might be able to put these poles inside and have some luck, but just driving the stakes into the ground as it says on the instructions won't do it for most lights. Our dirt is mostly clay, so they seemed pretty secure at the start, but that sure didn't last long. We put them up about a month after ordering them, so we couldn't return them...I'll be trying to sell them at a garage sale!

Exactly what I wanted
I needed two poles to support my string of yard lights over my gate. I needed them to be tall enough so that anyone can pass underneath without a problem. I also needed them to be very sturdy, since we occasionally get very gusty winds. These fit the bill perfectly! The long four prongs at the end of each pole dig deep into the ground, and have proven more than a match for our winds. Each pole comes in two pieces and they screw together. I thought the attachment site was a little wobbly, but I have had no issues. The hooks at the top are very secure, and I have had no issues with the wind blowing my lights off the poles. Also, the price was just right!

Look nice, generally work, but not enough support with small easily bent spikes.
Pretty much as advertised. Painted steel with a matte , slightly bumpy surface. Screw together. One summer and fall season of use. Just put them up again.Pros. Height is nice. Decorative top is nice. Screw together system worked fine.Cons. Height creates a problem with cafe light strings being so heavy at a corner that the small spike assembly just isn’t deep or strong enough to hold verticality well. I’m in Iowa where it’s moist in eary summer and the ground is a bit too soft at the top to stiffly hold the spikes vertical. The poles will slowly tilt over time, and the spikes will bend a bit. Nothing fell, just sagging strings. Also will rust a bit at the screw connection.Overall satisfied as couldn’t find anything similar locally. But needs user to pound in an adjacent support spike/pole to maintain vertical under weight.

Not worth the money.
I bought three sets of these for party lights around our new patio. They are not very strong and needed a lot of reinforcement. The claw supports in ground did not work at all. We ended up attaching them to 4x4 anchored in cement so they wouldn't fall over. Now they are starting to bend from the weigh of the lights. We are trying to figure out best way to reinforce them to keep them from bending. They are not worth the money.

Sturdy and versatile
Very sturdy poles. We have umbrella holes around our pool deck. These fit very well, with a small cloth around the end that goes in the hole to make it sturdy. They are perfect because you can remove the bottom fork if you don’t need it.
