Although it is true this product does not contain instructions, the closeup pictures provided in the listing make assembly a cinch. It fits perfectly on the back of my wife's Sequoia and functions as I'd hoped. I used a level to true it up before I tightened the frame bolts, and it looks nice on the back of the car (even when loaded). If you're looking for a budget carrier with a ramp and you have reasonably good mechanical ability, I recommend this product.

Save yourself the trouble and SPEND A LITTLE MORE ON BETTER QUALITY. For starters, although the solid parts are very solid, the screen is flimsy. Worse, moving parts, i.e. ramp, and ramp locks, and dynamics of moving part were manufactured half-a**, and the things don't move very smoothly, and they do have to be rigged a little to function.Even though those things can be overlooked, the alignment of the pin holes for the 180 orientation cannot. The 90 degree holes align perfectly but at 180 they do not align, creating an unsturdy platform that without a pin bounces on bumpy rides. Seller contacted regarding the misaligment of the hole and hoping that that was an error and a replacement part could be swapped, but their exact words were,"it is how it was designed. After you load your motorcycle on the carrier, it will be OK. When nothing on it, the item should slightly upward"So, when the pins are in, you can lock it and secure it at 90 degree or 165 degrees but no way to secure it 180 degrees???? We have an $800, 100 lbs scooter that "will be OK"??????Well clearly we are not risking it, so now my option are pay $70 shipping to return it to get my $90 back or eat the cost and get a less cost-effective one, and hopefully better, manufactured. Ugh.

Received this carrier on time, actually a few days earlier. However once I opened the box, it was dirty, had rust in several places, and missing instructions. It is a little flimsy but I think it will do what I need if not I do have a welder. Point of this is you get what you pay for, this one is at a minimum of $150.00 cheaper then the others sold here on Amazon. I only will use it one or twice a month so we will see how it holds up.

It works...It was a pain to put together.No instructions - found some online, wasnt exact and had to re-do a few pieces.Also a little loose in the hitch so it wobbles just a bit.It's good for it's price, though

I recently bought this hitch carrier to transport my 30" wide snow blower. Going in, I knew the carrier was 28" wide and that my blower would hang over. It didn't stop me from getting as I know I strap down the blower and also knowing that I would not have to drive far with it. I live in MA and I received the carrier 2 days BEFORE the Blizzard 2013 (Nemo). I easily put it together. As seen from others , there was no assemble instructions but I went on TMS website for the picture manual. I used the hitch for this storm and I am pleased by it's sturdiness. It takes 2 people to insert the carrier into the hitch. It also may take 2 people to roll the blower or scooter up the ramp. I removed the carrier when not in use and stored it until next time. This will hopefully minimize any rusting over the long run. It can easily be spray painted black to hide any rust or scratches as well.Overall, for the price, I am very satisfied.

purchased this in August of this year, holds and transports either my Hoveround Chair or my Mobility scooter very nicely. My son installed it, he did recommend $7+ change for the spacer that prevents any rattling when driving. He had no difficulty assembling or installing to the hitch, recommends this to anyone that needs an economical solution for transporting their mobility equipment. Looks nice on the back of the truck as well. We have a fiberglass lid on the truck, which necessitates the need for this rack, as removing the lid was not an option, it's like having a giant trunk in your vehicle. Definately a 5 star plus!!!!!!! The price is great, and even with the shipping charges, it is approx $100.00 less than any other offers I researched!!!

Good quality carrier, bought it for my husbands mobility scooter and it's awesome! He has MS and walks with crutches and he was able to put it together himself. He did it right on the truck step by step so there wasn't any heavy lifting. He leaves it right on the truck. He does stated he will have to have help taking it off. Scooter goes right up and after strapping it on, it travels very well. YOU WILL NEED TO ORDER A STABLIZER FOR THE HITCH!!Only thing I wished is that it came with the stabilizer and it didn't block the rear camera.Would highly recommend and would repurchase if needed.
