Dummy security cameras - $19.99 for 4
At under $5 each I wasn't expecting much. Simply thinking that any deterrent which might save another $550 for auto-glass replacement might be worth it. These are remarkably realistic-looking and well made. I'd actually prefer the LED to be permanently on and mounted further back so as to be a little visible through the array of dummy IR LEDs on the front (just like most cameras at night), but to the dumb dumbs that break into cars they probably wouldn't know the difference. Take seconds to assemble, power and mount. Can't go wrong. Only just started using them and only tried two so far (I ran out of AA batteries!) but so far so good.
