I was doubtful about the return policy, despite the reviews I had heard about the no trouble replacements people got, but thought I would try these socks as with such a claim they must be of at least a quality high enough for most people to have forgotten where they ordered them so they could no longer make use of the policy. That being said, I have had my first pair now for just short of a year during which they've been hiked through rivers on freezing nights and long treks on scorching hot days, plus everyday work wear in a warehouse environment and they still feel as close to brand new as you could imagine or hope for. I have never had socks last like this (without wearing through), nor stayed as soft, warm and cushioned as these have remained. And you can wear them for days and days without issue if need be, where as others would smell after the first! The price is steep, but nonetheless I am genuinely impressed and it makes me wonder, if this is possible, why are other socks not like this? Are they deliberately creating them to have a life span so we must buy more regularly? Or is it some secret technology Darn Tough stumbled upon? Either way, there are no other socks for me now. I have since bought another 10 pairs (in case I don't get around to washing, like I said, all other socks are dead to me now) and the difference between the first pair and ones that arrived a month ago is marginal. My wife questioned when she saw I had spent AU$500 on socks, but when she compared the first and most recent she decided to start buying her own. I know they are expensive (but not that bad for Merino really) but there is so much more value for money in them regardless. Even if I never bother to send some back for replacement, I already have my moneys worth.

My husband loves these socks and is replacing all of his with them. They are so soft and comfy, they look exactly as expected, are thick but breathable, and are super durable through all kinds of activity (walking in hunting boots, through the woods, and work everyday). They fit just as they should! They do not slip inside the shoe.be careful when washing with other items that might release lent though as they will pill up!
