Often times I add water to her Rachael Ray food (enough to just cover the food), stir in a little flour (to thicken), some FreshPet doggie sausage (fridge section at dog store), and maybe some leftovers (chicken, pretzels, whatever), microwave for a minute, and let sit for 10 minutes (until the water soaks in). The food poofs up, she loves it, and it's easier to digest. It also stretches my dollar when it comes to feeding my girl, without resorting to junky food with questionable ingredients. I was initially a little wary of the dried peas, I know many dog food makers add dried peas to increase the protean percentage (dried peas have very high protean, but isn't a form that's as good as mean), but there is plenty of meat as well in this food to provide a good, balanced, high-energy diet, which does in fact have a lot more "good" protean than your average dog food. She loves this more than the other Rachael Ray foods, and other dry foods (even more expensive ones like Blue Buffalo).
