Could equal a $50+ unit. Too much for desks, not right for such a purpose.
This one is tricky. Its output is actually pretty incredible. An expensive $50+ unit would output a similar amount set to a pretty high setting. This means it is actually pretty awful for its intended purpose -- use on desks/etc. It goes through approximately a quarter of a gallon during one 12-hour run before shutting off. Although it definitely is just about the most portable unit I've ever seen. I don't think many people would use a humidifier for something like camping or whatever, but for such a purpose it would be positively great and I can absolutely see it being a great thing to bring around to a hotel or otherwise while travelling. Its design allows it to fit into many different things -- not just the "cup" that comes with it -- which makes it more portable and versatile still. And, given that it runs on minimal USB power it's actually one of the most efficient units I've ever seen. Even compared to other portable units, most of which use at least a few watts more. Overall, for its price, it's pretty incredible. There is one caveat though: the automatic shutoff. It automatically shuts itself off after twelve hours (and I'd just swear it's even less than that in reality.) This makes it go from being able to actually compete with $50+ units in output to being potentially a lot more trouble to deal with. Combine this with the lack of control over how much it actually puts out and this makes it no longer the truly amazing thing it potentially could have been. Also, the super bright LEDs can be downright obnoxious at night while you're sleeping. I had to cover it with electrical tape. If you could control the level of output and whether or not it ran on a timer, this thing could be positively amazing provided you could give it a good container for the water (I cut a hole in an old huge sized coffee can's lid and stuck it through that, though I'd want something even better if I didn't have to manually control it so often.)So basically it's really amazing and could be the absolute best bang for the buck out there, but without control and with the timer it finds itself not really quite fitting quite right for any specific use. Still, it works too well in the ways it does work to say that it is anything less than at least quite good. I would love very much to someday see something built around this design with proper control over the timer and the output. If it even came with both the standard sized "cup" for portable use and something much larger then it could be even more amazing as not everyone can improvise something suitable. Still, for all that it is not quite fitting right for any specific purpose it is still useful in many ways such as as a backup when you can't afford to replace a really expensive unit or for some portable purposes like travelling where you can't reasonably lug around a large 2+ liter unit (this thing would practically fit in a pocket in comparison...) Especially when you combine this with the rather incredibly cheap cost. If I spent $50 for this I'd be upset at the lack of control but at this price range I'd have to say it performs far far better than I ever expected.

Wonderful little humidifier
This is a powerful little guy. The vapor output is really impressive for how small it is. I have wanted a humidifier on my bedside table while I sleep, but struggled with their large size. It was always difficult for me to refill them without making a mess. This little one has been a great change. It will not humidify the whole room, but it does make things better near it.The product consists of two pieces, the humidifier and a sturdy plastic cup to place it in. The plastic cup is fitted with a collar that holds the humidifier nicely and reduces the possibility of spilling, but isn't strictly necessary. I love that I can put it in a larger cup and it will work for even longer. It is powered by a micro USB cable. The one provided is the only part that feels flimsy. It is wonderfully portable, but still needs to be plugged in. It's operation is totally silent, unless I put my ear right next to it, when I can hear the water vaporizing.I am not only recommending this to others, but I'm also buying a second one for myself to use on the end table by my usual seat in the living room. I also look forward to bringing it with me when I travel.

Decent, modern desktop/nightstand humidifier
Packaging was good. Un-boxing experience was good. It came with the humidifier, the water cup, 1 meter USB power cable, the instructions and customer service paperwork, and an extra cotton rod (which was an unexpected bonus).I've had it running for awhile now and it seems to be doing its job. The unit does feel a bit plasticy, but it makes sense because it sits in water almost indefinitely. The cup it comes with is a nice inclusion, but I think the humidifier will vaporize all the water before its auto-shut-off happens.I can only give it 4 stars. The main reason being you can't turn off the light ring or dim it. It is fairly bright if you have it going on your night stand to help humidify your sleep. The other reason is the cord that comes with it is a flat, white micro-B USB cable which is decent, but it just seems a bit cheap and only has a power pass-through (no data).I'd still recommend the product for the price ($16).

Could Use a Couple Changes
I have good things and bad things to say about this product, however, don't let that deter you from purchasing it, because it is an all-around good product! I bought this for my girlfriend who has trouble with dry air during wintertime, and she loves it! It releases a nice, full mist that hydrates the room to the perfect humidity; that is, if you have a fairly small room. This is a pretty small humidifier and it can only do so much for a larger room. It is compact and portable, which is a plus, however, it's not exactly made for sleeping. The humidifier does not have an automatic turn-off timer, so it will run all night if you fall asleep with it on. In my opinion, this could create a fire hazard, as the atomizer does seem to get very warm over night if it runs out of water, and the central column is a cotton cylinder; if you know anything about fires, you know that high temperatures and cotton simply don't mix. This product, however, is still good for those days at home when you are sick and aren't ready for bed quite yet!

Perfectly portable, good quality, but has small issues.
Compact, perfectly portable, and seems sturdy. I like the red and blue on/off lights. We purchased this to use in my husband's semi truck while he is sleeping. I ran it on the kitchen counter for a couple days, simple to use and operate. I gave four stars for two reasons. First, it runs out of water before the automatic shut off kicks in. About six hours of mist, and the shut off is 8 hours. This means the unit sits "running" for a couple hours and becomes a little warm to the touch. Second. the mist is nice, but a little heavy, it accumulated on the counter, making the area wet. This should be okay in a truck while the humidifier runs in the cup holder, but would be annoying on a nightstand.

Light is very bright
The humidifier works very well. The only down side is the light is so bright that humidifier cannot be left on in a bedroom at night due to how bright the light is. Would be good to double as night light for kids room.

Amazing mini humidifier
Perfect for the office, so the atmosphere is not so dry with all the heating on.Easy to use, clean, and plug. The only thing I would change is the length of the usb cable (50 cm)
