I ordered this product to extend the range of my router, as the one provided by my ISP was struggling to go beyond 1-2 rooms in my house. This has made a massive improvement and I am now able to get a strong and fast connection in every room of my house.Setup is easy, I just installed their app on my phone and did it all through there. The device also has some nice features, like being able to control the signal strength and have it shutoff during certain hours. This can be useful for reducing it's power usage during certain times.Also, if you setup the booster name and password to match your router, you will then not have to worry about connecting any of your devices to both the router and booster. I have a gigabit connection and I cannot tell when any of my devices switch between which interface they're connected to. I also have a small server connected to the ethernet port on the booster which has been able to maintain a fast and stable connection almost as if it was directly connected to the router.Overall, this really is a great product and I would definitely recommend it for people looking to improve the connectivity within their home.

We live in a newly renovated grade II listed barn conversion with a thick stone wall that runs down the centre of the house that was blocking off the signal from the router to the other side of the house to where the router was. We bought this and have plugged it in upstairs on the landing (our mains socket is in the master bedroom on the opposite side of the house) and this mesh system picks up the signal and means we now get signal across the whole house! Would definitely recommend and super easy to set up with the free app that you download and follow the instructions. Very easy and quick to set up and full signal across the whole house.

I have used a fair few signal repeaters over the years and also have used old routers as repeaters. Recently I was lucky enough to get fibre to the premises broadband from a small supplier. This in theory gives be 300MBS upload and download. However it soon became apparent that the router supplied had pretty poor wi-fi capabilities and the signal was rather weak in the lounge. I decided to try one of these range extenders,It suits my purpose perfectly. Very easy to set up and I cant see anyone having a problem. WPS pairing worked but I then changed the SSID to match the rest of the network which worked well as roaming devices tend to pair to the strongest signal. The advice with this extender was to place it halfway between the router and the problem area. This is logical enough but I was able to place the device behind the TV in the lounge (blue light on the device shows this placement is fine) which meant I could use the ethernet socket for my PVR. This all works perfectly. Unlike previous extenders I have used this one is very stable and I have not had to reboot the device yet.Its important to realise that because of the way repeaters work you will not get the same speed as you would next to the router. There are endless clear explanations for this on the internet but in simple terms the repeater has to collect the signal and then pass it on so you might in theory half the bandwidth. So if your actual internet speed from the provider is slow this may not be the solution you are hoping for. My upload/download (just checked) is about 140 MB from the 300. What you will get though if the device is placed correctly is a very strong signal strength, exactly what wifi dongles such as the firestick require.Based on my experience of ease of setup, usefulness and importantly stability its five stars all the way from me.

This is fantastic! I recently moved into a London flat and signed up to Virgin Media for our wifi.While the signal strength was great in the living room, the reach beyond it was not! It would barely reach my bedroom, and almost non-existent in my flatmate's.Virgin Media customer service were an absolute joke and totally unhelpful. They told us we needed to pay an extra £8 p/m for one of their booster 'pods'.We decided to go our own way and have been delighted with the result of the TP-Link.It's plugged in equidistant from living room to bedrooms, and was a breeze to set up. Signal has been strong and consistent ever since!Highly recommend!
