The Moen website says this part (102763P) is discontinued, so maybe it isn't true that "brass is back" after all. Too bad: we love it. Each drain cover came with two #10 screws (brass plated with machine threads for some unknown reason). With some pressure, these short screws did thread into untapped holes in the PVC drain housing. The polished brass finish is so pretty, and these had no scratches at all. The appearance makes an instant upgrade to the shower. We will remove the brass drain covers whenever using strong cleaners or scrub brushes, to avoid damaging the tarnish-preventing lacquer.
