Not great, but at least it's expensive!
Having purchased the Sony HDR-CX405 camcorder I assumed that the manufacturer supplied case would be ideal, albeit at a quite pricey £14 extra.Whilst the case is ok at best, it has a couple of flaws; the first is the fiddly nature of the zips which are obstructed by the carrying strap (not a deal-breaker in isolation), but the second is the lack of space for the cables that are required to charge the battery or connect to a display device. If it was possible to charge the battery remotely then the need to carry the cable may be lessened but there is no means do do this; the camcorder has to be plugged into the charging cable and 3 pin plug.Having the means to display the videos would seem to be a critical factor so not being able to carry the HDMI cable is also a serious omission. If you just need to carry the camcorder then this case is fine, but not if you need any other accessories.I will purchase another (non Sony) case which is a bit larger and probably a bit cheaper too.

Take Care
This is a well made, well padded case and therein comes the problem. Dimensions in the product description are 16.5 x 8.6 x 8.6 centimetres. Those are the external dimensions. The pocket where the camera goes are somewhat less 14.5 x 6.0 x 6.0 centimetres. I don't know why this type of advert focuses on external dimensions but for me it meant that I bought a product that was not fit for my purpose.

Perfect for the Sony PJ410.
This is excellent quality and is a Perfect Fit for the Sony PJ410 Handycam. It also has a front pocket which would hold 3 extra batteries or cards. I know some reviews say the pocket is too small and it would be for other Cams which have slightly larger batteries such as the Sony PJ630. I did purchase the LCS BBJ case for the PJ 410 first but the cam seemed to rattle around in it a bit too much plus it did not have an additional pocket for accessories. However this case provides a snug fit but not so tight to prevent it being removed for spontaneous filming. An excellent purchase all round.

This small case is ideal to hold the camcorder plus spare batteries and memory cards but nothing else
This case is ok for carrying around a Sony HDR-PJ410 camcorder and a couple of spare batteries plus a spare micro SD Memory Card but you will need a bigger case if you want to keep the charger and separate battery charger with it.Therefore, good to just take out for the day but you will need something bigger to keep the other accessories with it. I purchased separately a couple of spare batteries with charger(which has arrived) and as it doesn't come with a micro SD Memory Card I have purchased two but am still waiting delivery of these cards so I can't start using the camcorder yet.

Handycam case
This case is fine on the whole but the zipped part at the front which I put the USB extension for my Sony PJ260 is really too tight and a struggle to zip up once in there but I need to carry the lead with the camera so I don't lose it and can't think what else the pocket could be for. At least the part that clips over a belt or waistband works for women who don't have belt carriers on their clothes. Most of these sorts of items are designed to be threaded through a man's belt and the designers have not realised that women use and carry the same things as men but there is usually nothing to attach to a woman's waistband if she is wearing smart clothes or does not wear a thin belt. This bag clips over a waistband or pocket top but perhaps a belt turning it into a BumBag might be a good idea as some women still wear dresses!
