It's a niche product... it's a niche you might enjoy being in too?...
At £27.99, at the time of writing,This Keyboard Cover designed for Steinberg's Cubase for 13" & 16" MacBook Pro 2020+ | Cover by Editors Keys | Will not fit other MacBook,Is a pretty specific item.So does it do it's, pretty specific, job?Is it any good?Is it good value? Will these infernal questions ever stop? ⛔Let's all pop on a hard hat ⛑, a high vis vest ⚠️,And inspect the undercarriage of this review, as we take a closer look 👀...It arrives in just a black shiny cardboard sleeve, with friendly, printed graphics, and a transparent plastic window allowing a sneaky wee view of the keyboard cover. They could lose the plastic ♻️Out the sleeve,It's a professional feeling and looking cover.Made of moulded silicone, all in one piece, it has coloured keys and key combinations printed in different colours on the keyboard cover. There are two blue shades ⚪🔵, yellow 🟡 and orange 🟠, and one tiny red dot 🔴.⚠️First up... check if your Mac will fit:⚠️DESIGNED to fit your MacBook Pro 13" and 16" 2020 and Newer. Will 🚫NOT🚫 fit older models. It fits my new Macbook Pro✔.I also do a lot of home recording.I use a Cubase almost exclusively too. This is perfect for me.I use a drum plug in for drums.Play the Bass lines on my Peavy Bass Guitar, via a USB guitar and vocals interface and a DI box.Play guitar tracks, rhythm and solos on my guitar 🎸, via the USB box.Record vocals the same way.Mix it all using Cubase and VST plugins, effects pedals and modules, and...Boom 💥. We have a 100% performed by me song. Some are great, some are.. less so...But they all take a lot of time to do.And a lot of drinks and snacks are consumed during recording...This keboard will, then, perform TWO vital rolesProtect my Mac from dust, crumbs and spilled drinks...And, help me recall, remember and learn all the Keyboard Shortcuts available for Cubase.Apparently, it can save 40% of the time taken, just by using the Shortcuts. Amazing. In practice, it's fantastic 👏.Easy. Simple and intuitive. It makes using the Shortcuts much easier just because you can have confidence in them, as you have a visual affirmation that you are correct in your memory recall of the action needed. The more I use it, the better I get too.And it's great fun to use.It also cleans, washes and comes out as new as easily as wiping it down with a damp cloth, a wet sponge or a good sink wash.It comes with a 1 year warranty.Nice.In summary, this is fairly expensive.Yes.But it's less expensive than a new Mac, if you spill your drink on it's keyboard.Either that, or NO drinks while recording?I don't think so...So in that way...It's good value. It's a great product that fills a very specific niche.Luckily, it's a niche I enjoy being in, and would be happy to pay the twenty eight quid, or so, to get one in these. As we approach the rear end of this review, you may remove your helmet ⛑️ and other safety gear you have collected on the way.I hope you have enjoyed our time together ❤,And I thank you for reading my review 🤗.

Good addition for my my MacBook Pro!
Keyboard Cover designed for Steinberg's Cubase for 13" & 16" MacBook Pro 2020+ | Cover by Editors Keys | Will not fit other MacBook models. This is a Steinberg's Cubase cover for a MacBook Pro 13" and 16" that gives you all the shortcuts on the keyboard, also protecting your keyboard at the same time...... So you are getting two in one!It makes editing a lot faster with this on the keyboard, it functions very well and have had no issues as of yet, been using for a few days now and it's so much faster doing audio editing than just using the normal keyboard. It's a really useful and helpful piece of kit for my MacBook, the fit is very precise too. It's a little too expensive for my liking though! It does come with a year's warranty which gives you peace of mind if it does stop working which I very much doubt will happen. Can recommend but make sure you have the correct MacBook model for it before ordering.

Good cover but expensive
It was delivered quickly and very well compactly packed.I have a MacBook 16 inch 2019 and before ordering this I have read and checked several times whether it will fit or not.Since in description it says for model MacBook 13 inch 2020 models and 16-inch models. But I thought let give it a shot because my current cover is really faded and it lasts for 6 months but was quite cheap. With this cover, the enter/return key and slash \ key both are joint in the cover but of course not in my 16 inch MacBook pro.It gives very good fitting and I use my laptop a lot and with all the shortcuts it makes like easier. It is a bit pricy but if it will not fade for a year then it is worth it. I had water spell in my keyboard once and due to these covers, my keyboard was protected. SO I am sure it is worth it.

Best suited to Steinberg's Cubase users but it has lots of applications.
This is a nice keyboard short cut cover. It's specifically for use for Steinberg's Cubase but in effect its a good colourful cover for a multitude of uses.On the downside, unlike silicon covers, not with a specific user the letters on the keyboards are smaller. In my view, I would not purchase unless you area Steinberg's Cubase user as other silicon cover are cheaper and only have the letters on them.Notwithstanding, the cover fits well and I found no problem using it in many programmes. It's certainly more colourful than the MacBook keyboard and anything to brighten up my computer usage is a plus for me.As a footnote, my Macbook Pro is the 2019 version and it fits the keyboard ok. Hence I typed this review on it.

Genuinely increases workflow speed, and protects your MacBook too
This cover allows you to locate all the main keyboard shortcuts for Cubase. I tried this on the 13-inch MacBook Pro.It is colour-coded into five groups, so you will easily know where to look for that shortcut. It is printed on a high-quality silicone rubber sheet, with the keys printed in excellent detail. It actually looks nicer than the actual keyboard. The keys are a little bit less responsive, but you soon get used to the slightly firmer push needed to use them. Now, the price; it’s £28. You might think that’s outrageous for a thin sheet of rubber, however when you consider the price of the Macbook, and the fact that this will protect it against dust and fluids as well as speeding up your workflow, then it doesn’t seem quite so expensive.
