Due to ongoing allergy issues, I use a saline solution to rinse my sinuses. Previously, I used specially-prepared packages containing a mixture that produces a saline solution when water is added. Those packets are relatively expensive, especially since it's primarily salt (sometimes with a little baking soda). Once I realized that I could simply use plain salt with water, I purchased this item. If you plan on using it as a saline rinse, be sure to purchase the version withOUT iodine or other preservatives. I highly recommend for this use.

My brother-n-law turned me on to this sea salt. Very fine grain. The taste is discrete and non-pervasive. No after taste at all. Doesn't taste salty if you know what I mean. I liked the salt so much I bought 12!
