Understanding BIM: The Past, Present and Future
N**E
Puts the whole field of Building Information Modelling into perspective
Really engaging and insightful, interesting from both a tech and a historical standpoint, while also looking ahead. I totally enjoyed diving into it, and as a visually-oriented person, found that all the images (so many!) clarified and focussed the concepts. This type of book isn't usually my jam, but after checking out the review by Lachmi Khelani in AecBytes, I thought her note about the book, "...the origins of BIM from someone who not only had a front row seat to the game, but who actually played it — and not just played it, but actually drafted many of its rules" to be the most compelling argument for coughing up the bank for it. Seriously, how many other books can say that about the author? As it's also an excellent reference book, I'm planning to buy more copies for the engineers/architects in my life.
