From Carnegie Award-winning author Patrick Ness comes a bold cinematic experience beyond imagination. Todd Hewitt lives on the distant planet of New World--a new hope for humanity until struck by 'The Noise,' a virus which inflicts immersive visions of ones' every thought. The cacophony drives many mad until Todd makes a hidden, silent discovery: there is a girl named Viola, who may be the key to unlocking New World's many layered secrets. Together, the two unlikely companions are forced on a white-knuckle adventure into an unexplored planet -- trying to escape and hide in an environment where all thought is heard, all movement seen --as they both discover the truth about the lives they left behind and the spectacular world they've learned to call home.

A different kind of movie
Really liked this different take on the future and exploring new worlds. It even left open the possibility of a sequel which I think could be interesting too.

Great Cast, story ok
Another sci-fi, sort of an original idea, limited release, probably only video, too bad deserves a wider release.

Pretty Good SciFi Flick
Some of the recent scifi films rely on low budget effects, but with decent stories, and decent scripts. This is one of those. Set your expectations a bit lower for this low budget, but interesting none the less. Enjoyed it a lot.

Great movie
Great movie. Bought used. Disc was in great condition but outside box was not. There was a big slice cut the whole way across the bottom of my outside case. This was not told in the description.

Good movie, bad DVD
Despite being “brand new,” there was a damaged section of the DVD that we could not watch. We lost around 10-20 minutes of the film from what I could tell, maybe even more. There were no visual signs of damage like scratches or anything, just a big chunk of the movie that neither of my DVD players could play. Don’t buy this product expecting a truly new DVD, it might as well be used.

Entertaining with moments of humor and action.
How would anyone react or deal with every thought in their head on display for anyone to see or hear? How would they react if it's only the males that are effected? The "noise" is an interesting notion.I really enjoyed the movie. Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley did an awesome job making this movie believable and entertaining. I'd actually see them together again playing their roles. Mads Mikkelsen was a formidable villain too.
