Great customer service
I am a70 yr old female and used nutral color Venetian plaster. I used dry pigment and mixed my own color. It would have been easier to use the premix colored plaster. I plastered over ugly tan brick surround. It was my first try and this art form is hard work but so worth it. I needed advice with everything and called customer service and talked with the guys who actually do this type of work and they gave me excellent instructions and great tips. I’m very happy with the result. Don’t be fooled with acrylic plaster companies if you want true Venetian plaster. This product is the real deal!

WTF? This stuff will knock your socks off! Wow pictures above are BEFORE waxing! Goes on real thin. Make sure wall is flat as possible before applying. Burnishs real easy. My trowel that I thought was clean and dry, made scratches on my test board. I suggest 1,000 grit sandpaper on trowel (stainless steel trowel only - no carbon steel) before burnish. Dont use a trowel that you have put on coarser plaster with. What looks smooth is not on this stuff. New trowel or very finely sanded trowel.I tried American Clay several times. I did all their techniques. I called them repeatedly about smoothness and shine. I could get the look I wanted! It just looked like sand glued to a wall with patterns. I though I was doing it wrong.I saw a YouTube video on this stuff and ordered it. Easy as pie! Wow!Highly recommend!!!!Edited: April 2019 to add pics of my first wall. did 3 coats and topped off with Hydrowax.

sent wrong color.
when i opened it was black. I ordered silver. I put some on patch to test It has been three hours and it is still black. I need the silver I ordered. I think it is great except wrong color.

Loved this Roman Clay. It was worth the extra cost. I highly recommend stirring it well before using as I did not.
