YQLOGY Solar Powered Fountain Pump (1)

in my effort to improve my yard for the birds and bees, I bought this one after reading the reviews. It came early and it is easy to set up. Pull off the protective film and pop on the spray head. Then plop it into the bird bath. I am cheap, so I use the bottom of a 55 gallon plastic drum that I cut off. It gives me a depth of about 6 inches. I use flat rocks to give the birds places to perch. This fountain simply floats around and will float to the side and quickly empty the bath, so i trapped in between the rocks to keep it centered. No matter, it will cause your bath to empty faster, maybe it increases evaporation? The fountain comes with a caution to not run it dry. It does want bright sunshine, but it will work with lower lights. In the sunshine, the spray was about 8 to 10 inches high. In lower light, the spray is considerably less. Overall fun to watch and the birds seem to enjoy it.Edited- as of June 9 the pump stopped working. Not sure if I will replace as I spent most of my time refilling the bird bath as the fountain sprayed it dry. Any wind will blow the spray out of the container, or it just floats to one side and the spray sends all the water onto the ground.

It's a "cute" fountain for maybe a bird bath. I floated it in our inground pool. Sent water into the air - about 15" high - as long as it was in strong sunlight. Then, in about a week it stopped working. Not recommended.

I have purchase two of these with good results and am currently waiting on my third to arrive. They work really well when in the sun and this particular one still works if a pond plant shades it slightly. I use the wide bubbler attachment to avoid spraying water out of my water containers and the slight sound and sparkly from the moving water is pleasant. I have more birds coming in as well, I think they like the sound too.

When I got the solar fountain it worked great. The hummingbirds loved it. I was very careful as per the instructions to keep the water clean and the bowl filled to avoid problems. Then it died…totally. Could not get the pump to work at all. I took the pump apart and there was no trash or debris. It was clean….just dead. This was less than 2 weeks after it arrived. Don’t waste your money.

This little fountain puts out a lot of spray when the sun it out, all most to much. I find that I have to refill the birdbath all the time because the fountain floats to the side of the bath and the water ends up on the ground. I ended up just letting the water bubble out the top without using any of the spray attachments.

False claims of low water protection. I used it in a birdbath and the water got low one day with 90 degree heat. The pump was done. Also not good for birdbaths because with any attachments it sprays the water out unless your bird bath is huge.

I love this little fountain...so do the humming birds. Place it in a wide bowl so the water does not spurt over the sides...requiring constant refilling of water. Once I realized that a wide bowl was needed the little fountain works great.

This product did not come with nozzles! Work but with a small 2 inch stream.
