Matterport Pro2 Case - Compact Hardshell Minimalist Traveling Case for Matterport Pro2 Professional 3D Camera (Impact Resistant Hard Case)

This case for the Matterport Pro 2 is exactly what I was looking for to protect my camera for travel. It is well constructed, and although a little more than I wanted to spend, it was the best product I found for my needs. It does not provide any space for the charger however, so if you are looking to pack both together, this will not suffice.

I bought this case because I was tired of lugging my Matterport in the big bulky cardboard box that it originally came in. Looking at other options on Amazon nothing compared to the compact size of this case. The hard shell is perfect and prevents the camera from banging into other stuff, like the tripod or charger. It also includes a strap if for shoulder carrying, which is super cool! It fits the Matterport Pro 2 very nicely with little wasted space. Very Compact. I feel like such a pro when I walk into a house now. No more unboxing the Matterport from its original shipping box! I was going to list the pros and cons but I honestly have no cons. This thing is a must have for all Matterport operators!!! Highly recommended!

There is no foam padding. The case is just a hard shell both inside and out. The inside has a cutout in the shape of the Matterport camera, showing which way to place it in the case, but it's not what I would call padded for protection.This case is barely large enough for just the Matterport camera, never mind the battery charger. There is no extra space cut out for the battery charger. If you wanted to pack the charger too, you would have to just cram the charger inside the case on top of or possibly beside the camera, risking scratches or other damage to the camera. This case might be fine for just going out on the job with a fully-charged battery and returning home within a few hours, but if you'll be needing to plug it in for a recharge or traveling or whatever, I cannot recommend this case. Matterport's website suggests some other cases that even have space enough to house your iPad or Android tablet. The suggested cases are quite expensive (almost double) in comparison to this one, but might be worth the extra dough to be able to carry everything (excluding the tripod) in one case. I'm returning this case and will be going with one of Matterport's recommended cases instead.
