Not hard to do and is better than the original connector.
Works great. Note: the plastic coverings are not fit all. The female connectors are wider than the males. Some cables, like mine are larger than the hole. Just use an 1/8” bit to enlarge the hole. Have some super glue ready to glue the two pieces together and add some where the metal touches plastic to make it stronger. I was able to fix a led light and now it is better than new. Connector runs cooler than the original. Since they don’t provide a wire diagram, just carefully take the old one apart and copy the color code. Mine was red on right, black on the left.

Simple and easy to assemble USB connector for projects
This connector is great for simple projects that need a usb connector. It is easy to solder and assemble the housing. The housing is hard plastic that presses together but you could glue it if you want it permanently sealed. I used them to make USB power cord for my gadgets around the house.

Solid Connectors, Casing Doesn't Stay Together Well
I've had these for a while now and used them in a few projects; the pins are very easy to solder to and the casing looks professional enough once assembled. The casing can be pulled apart very easily however, I recommend using a drop of hot glue while putting the two pieces together to keep them that way.

Excellent
Bought these to complete the building of my iPad cooling rig. Did the job well.

Does what its supposed to
What can I say? It is a usb terminator. Does what its supposed to. The innards are a little prone to melting though while soldering. Burned through a few that way. The plastic inside doesn't take heat well. Wondering how that will play out in the long run of using it.

It is what it says it is.
It is what it says it is but be aware that the channel that the cable must lie in is only 1/8 inch in diameter. A thicker cable can be used if you ream out the plastic channel CAREFULLY with a drill bit.

Very nice USB type A to solder terminals.
6 December 2024 VizGiz 10 Pack USB 4 PIN Type A male and female to Solder Terminals:Delivered completely disassembled, took significant time to figure out which parts belonged together. But once figured out it was very easy to identify which components belonged together. The shell accepts cables up to 0.11" diameter. I had to clamp the shell halves together and drill a larger hole. Dependingon the stiffness of your cable or wires, it may be necessary glue the shell halves together.Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. []

Simple DIY Solution
I had to repair a USB type A socket, and these replacements worked well. Bottom and top halves of the covers are distinguishable.
