Comfy Mask Elastic Head Strap Mask (Beige)

During the spring I mowed my yard. I have areas of grass and less tamed areas where I mulch the leaves and keep the natural look. It was dry and there was a lot of dust and pollen flying around from my tractor. My wife said there was a cloud following me most of the time. As a result I developed a sinus infection and bronchitis. I was miserable for over a month from it. The wife made a point of pointing out, any number of times, that I should have worn a mask. I bought this dust mask for 2 reasons; to shut her up and to prevent a future problem with my sinuses and lungs. It is a good mask and wetting it during hot weather helps keep you cooler, is more comfortable and filters out more smaller harmful matter than other masks I have used. It costs a little more but I found it to be worth the money.

I have the adjustable with soft straps that I purchased early summer 2019 so I could mow. With my allergies it was a no brainer. LOVE this mask!I actually thought I was getting the one with the adjustable straps again when I set up the subscribe and save. But it was changed to elastic and I either didn't catch that when I was setting it up... or it was changed after the fact. I don't know. all I know is that the company had a really nice strap for around the ears that didn't have any writing on it and was super soft and now I can't find that strap anywhere. Really bummed about that. Hoping that they see this review and bring back the plain soft white strap. :)Here's to hoping. :D

This item has changed my life for the better, as a quality healthcare item should.I have a fair amount of sensitivity to dust/hair/dander, and live in a home with 3 pets. This has caused me endless aggravation, especially when cleaning! The act of cleaning kicks up all this dust/hair/dander, giving it the opportunity to be inhaled.This mask has saved me from all of that. If i put this on, i am able to breathe 100% easier - despite the somewhat restricted airflow. I cannot express how well this works for basic airborne particulate filtration - it is just fantastic.I have also used this as a sawdust mask for use during sanding a floor, and it performed this task very well.The mask cleans easily in water after use, and dries quickly. The pliable metal band over the nose also works well, and stays put once molded.I plan to purchase several more of these in the future.

I could actually wear one of these all day if I had a reason to do so.Update: This was the most comfortable mask I had ever worn. They are not the same anymore. Now they are too small, even for my small face. These squash my nose really bad and barely reach my chin. They are super uncomfortable. I don't care how much money you think you can make because of the pandemic. You should not have cheaped out like that. I won't buy from this company again. I'll make my own.

In 2016 I purchased this exact same mask. I wore it only once before the pandemic began. In July, I decided to buy a second one as a backup. Yesterday, I needed to wear the new one because my previous one had become wet. The elastic on the new one is a much higher-tension elastic than my first mask. And the elastic (unexpanded) in the new mask is a full 1.5-inches shorter than the elastic in my first mask. The new mask was so tight on my head that I could feel my pulse pounding in my scalp. Because it is too late to return the new mask, I will have to alter it, adding extra elastic to each strap. Before I wore the new mask, I had been recommending this brand to everybody. It is a breathable, washable mask, but because of the fit, I will now stop recommending it.

It seems like a good design but there is a smell to it that I couldn't tolerate. It is a mild clean odor (maybe similar to a new car smell) but I had to get it off my face. My allergies are already raging, so I don't know if it would be an issue for most people. I did hand wash the mask before attempting to wear it. Also,I felt like I couldn't get enough air through the fabric. I plan to hang onto the mask and try again when my allergies improve. I wish I'd purchased this earlier in the year, before allergy season. If your allergies are already in high gear, this may not be a good solution. If you are sensitive to odors, it may not be for you. If you are a normal, healthy person who wants to keep the pollen and dust out of your lungs, this is well designed and will probably work great.

I have a large face so normal paper masks don't form a good seal, but this mask does a wonderful job as it actually conforms to my face.Really helps out during allergy season or when I am mowing the lawn, and it being reusable means I save money and the environment at the same time.

No breathing issues that usually take place after mowing. I've tried the nasal rinse (does not seem to work for me) and not a fan of taking meds. But this mask was very effective. I spent pretty much the day in the yard while wearing the mask the entire time. I could breathe with no problems, but most importantly, my allergies were not an issue at all.
