Fantastic cleaning power, highly recommended
Well I have to admit that I was shocked by how much dirt this vacuum was sucking out of my carpets!! The light beige carpet looks like new again, I thought it was ready for a shampoo, but its back to its original colour again once the dirt is removed. This Vax easily lifted all the fur and fluff left behind by the dog too. After workmen in the house last week, I thoroughly vacuumed the stairs carpet with my old Dyson with its tool for doing stairs, but the lift out section of my new Vax with the turbo tool has rejuvenated this carpet too, even hubby noticed!! I chose my last vacuum for its lightness as I have some muscle difficulties and Im finding my new Vax rather heavy in comparason, its harder to push due to the great suction, but now theyve had a thofough clean, I will lessen the suction next time I use it. Tried it on the tiled floor with the adapter on and this worked very well too.

Looks good - useless in reality!
I waited 6 months before writing the review to be fair...Despite coming from a reputable company and being packed with useful features, this device has a design flaw that makes it useless for busy house holds.Unfortunately, the design of the suction hose and the narrow gap going into main collection cylinder means it clogs almost immediately in various places and looses suction. So much so we were having to unclog it every 2 or 3 minutes. We have an average sized house with two teenagers and one dog who doesn't shed much at all, so I would not say we are a challenging house for a hoover.A shame as the motorised brush is great and picks everything up - it's just the rest of the appliance that cannot cope.

Amazing
OMG what an awesome hoover, I dogsit for a friend every couple of wks and it picks up ALL the dog hair effortlessly, it cleans right up to the skirting boards, its light, comes with adapters for getting up high and into all the nooks and crannies. It even has rollerball technology like the Dyson but you can't see it like you do on the Dyson so it makes cleaning around corners so much easier, great for cleaning under the bed too. It has a green light on it to tell you it is working at its best and the light turns red if there is a blockage or obstruction. Great for cleaning the stairs as it`s cylinder comes off so you don't have to lug the whole hoover up the stairs. Easy to empty and clean, it's absolutely brilliant better than any Dyson I have had in the past and a lot cheaper which is a bonus for anyone. Love it love it love it.

DO NOT BUY if you have hard floors that are not perfectly flat....on our 3rd replacement
What could have been a great vacuum.........(suction and design is very good - brittle/cheap parts let it down)On our THIRD warranty replacement in as many months....(Well done to Amazon for great customer care and support)This could have been a vacuum for life.....but you will be lucky for it to survive intact for more than a month without something snapping or breaking...Issues:-Brittle plastic - helps keep vacuum at a relative low price, but any slight drop onto a hard floor will end up with something breakingHard floor adapter - What a faff. If you have carpets and hard floors, you will be constantly stopping, laying vacuum down, attaching adapter, vacuuming, then repeat process.....Nothing automatic here..!!Hard floor adapter - If you have natural slate or a hard floor with anything above 1mm uneven surface....expect the hard floor adapter to break. You then lose suction and end up with poor cleaning....Cable - Why position the cable at the bottom of the vacuum.....Cable gets in the way and will trip you over!Extendable pipe - WOW...all of 2 foot...uselessRemovable motor/vacuum from main body of vacuum is great.....but with the very short suction hose, you are limited with what you can do. Holding the vacuum unit in one hand and pipe in another limits what you can do during vacuuming....like holding on to something if reaching high/on ladders! If you leave the vacuum unit on the floor, expect it fall....and some more plastic to break!Due to high cost of DYSON, I decided to try VAX.....BIG MISTAKE!VAX suction on par with DYSON....but build quality lets VAX down..I will be returning to DYSON once this has fallen apart.......not a long wait by all accounts!

Noisy brush head
I have had this machine for 2 months and yes indeed it works well , good suction bit heavier than I expected , however it has developed a noise from the brush head loud clicking noiseFrom brush , removed brush bar and found nothing obstructing the bar , re. Assembled still same problem , on further inspection the bottom plastic which forms part of the head needed heating so the plastic plate did not touch the brushes which was the cause of the noise , I used a hair dryer to heat the plastic so it cleared the brushes , it is now quiet , this is a design fault and VAx should be made aware of this , I have another friend with the same problem , which has now been sorted heating the plastic ,Apart from that it does what it advertises But cannot give more than 3 stars , it is also a real hassle dealing with customer services as it has to be done on line which takes ages trying to explain the fault and not being able to speak one to one .Jarvis mechanical engineer
