Very nice design, but it's fragile and will crack easily

This was the best deal for a mate gourd I could find in Amazon. I really don't think you could find a better one here or in Argentina. That is not to say it is perfect. Once you pour the hot water in it you better have gloves or a rag in your hands for the heat transfer is too much for a bare hand to sustain. Best to pour and let sit for a while before handling. It will stand on its own.Curing the gourd is easy and instructions were included. Fill with mate and pour hot water in it to capacity. Let sit overnight and you are done.The bombilla is attractive and it worked great. Also, bear in mind it is made of metal so expect some heat transfer as well. It even comes with the traditional spoon for you to scoop the mate into the gourd. You can't ask for more, just adjust to the rudimentary and traditional process and you'll have a great mate time! And share the gourd, bombilla and all. That is how it's done.Shipping was fast and and packaging was adequate.

I had been looking for a mate for my Yerba and finally found one that I liked with a base to stand on. There was a bit of trouble with the delivery, which resulted in it coming one day later but that was due to this end of the delivery, and not with the actual vendor. My quibble (albeit slight) was that the actual product that came is slightly different from the advertised item. I love it all the same and will definitely keep it but it was a bit of a surprise.The item came with instruction on how to cure the mate, which is nice. Everyone I know seems to do it differently so I’m interested in trying this version out and see how it goes.All in all, pretty satisfied with my purchase.

A little smaller than i expected.. but pretty nice model

I fell in love with it as soon as I saw how small and simple it was. Then I realized there’s a literal hair in the straw brush, that is someone’s hair in my brush! Gross! Also if you look closely some of the lacquer dripped inside the mate, it’s a big drip and it’s thick, I don’t think this will come off easily or is even safe to drink from. I was away from home when I got this delivered and I’m unfortunately out of the return period. Please double check before keeping yours!
