Healing Solutions Basil Essential Oil - 0.33 Fluid Ounces

This didn't have a smell that I was expecting, but does smell like the plant. I guess I was expecting it to smell more like the dried herb (definitely not the company's responsibility.) It actually has a slight licorice note to it. It wasn't displeasing at all, but I never noticed a licorice smell to basil before so after I got the oil I found a plant to see if it smelled similar. It was almost exact. The oil of course being a little stronger. Since it didn't have the smell I expected I had to find a different use and blend for it. I was playing around one day and thought, hey I wonder if this smells good with birch and orange. I put the mix in my unscented lotion and it smelled so familiar and I couldn't figure out why the smell was making me so thirsty. I sat and smelled it for a minute and figured it out! It smelled just like root beer to me! I'm thinking of getting some vanilla oil and adding a little to see if it smells like a root beer float. When I do run out I plan on getting more.

Originally I had posted a bad review for this Basil, because when it arrived it smelled something horrible. Healing Solutions ended up calling me to tell me it sounded like I "got a bad batch" and sent me out a new one free of charge. This one smells MUCH better. It actually smells like Basil, it is potent, and it is a great oil. I am really happy they reached out to me...it shows how much they care for their customers. This is a scent that really promotes relaxation and healing. Great for anxiety, stress, or just unwinding.A+

Loved this Basil, yes the smell is strong but I had a migraine added a few drops to a hot bath helped right away. I put some in a hand cream I make and my husband kept asking what smelled so good! I can see I will be using this for many things.

Got Basil and Rosemary. Both smell great but don't seem to last very long. Maybe it's just me getting used to the smell, but I find an hour after I put it on, I can't smell anything.
