These scissors are the only ones that should be used around your pets eyes or mouth, because they are safe and easy to use. You don't have to worry about any jabs in case they jerk, which my one dog loves to do.

These scissors are sharp and sturdy. I ordered 5 inch thinking that is the length of the blades but the 5 inches include the handles. They are small for the price.

My dog is sensitive to the snipping sound scissors make but these are silent. Comfortable to hold & sharp enough to cut hair.

I ordered a longer pair of these about a month or so ago, and liked them enough that I wanted a smaller pair for grooming feet. The small size is perfect for trimming hair between pads and around nails. The rounded ends make it less likely that you'll accidentally snip flesh or unintended hair (I've not done either yet, but I appreciate the added insurance). The handles are comfortable in your hands for long periods of time, and the blades cut smoothly, fit together snugly, and don't leave gaps in your trimming area like lesser quality scissors. I'm not a professional groomer, but I've owned incredibly hair dog breeds my entire life, so I have a need for nice quality grooming tools for my home-grooming sessions. These are the nicest scissors that I've had in my grooming kit to date, and I'd definitely purchase again if I damaged or lost a pair.
