Yona of the Dawn: Season One - Part Two [BD Combo Pack]

I contacted Amazon prior to purchasing to ensure I'd receive all the correct discs (DVD & BD) and was assured the issue had been resolved between manufacturer and Amazon. Mine arrived via same day delivery when I ordered last week and discs 1 and 2, of Yona part 2.As for the series itself, it's still just as amazing and funny and immersive as part 1. I had my doubts about Yona of the Dawn before I bought part one but they were brushed aside before the end of the first episode. The artwork is great - including the gesturing and caricatures drawn in for comic relief, making many scenes twice as hysterical. Their mission and the trip along the way is filled with a thousand problems, emotions, laughs, tears, pain, happiness, blood, hard work, dramatic ideals come to life......and so much more.Yona of the Dawn is worth adding to the collection of any anime fan. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

I'm not a fan of historical feeling anime, but I like this one. It doesn't focus on politics, but on a princess that loses her kingdom to her childhood crush. As the episodes fly by, she gathers the 4 dragons because she's the avatar/descendant of their king. It's basically a harem anime, but with a woman at the center - which I prefer to the male centered ones when they appear. And this anime is no exception. The princess is a good character, and the allies she gathers have different motivations. It's especially nice to see how how who they are is in relation to their own avatars. White was worshipped, blue was reviled, green avoided being forced into anything - only the yellow dragon was rather abrupt, but there seems to be a secret waiting there. Even her enemy/first love seems deeper. I get a nice feeling of layers in the relationships, especially around the bad guys. Plenty of easily identifiable bad guys, and good guys, but nice greys and overlaps. The only thing I really didn't like is the flashbacks and flashforwards at the beginning of the anime. Thankfully, as it progresses, it calms down, and by the end of season two things seem to have mostly merged well. Glad I kept with it. Definitely a good anime, with the original Japanese voices (always preferred), plenty of heartbreaking/heart-warming moments, and plenty of lighter moments. Two seasons were over before I knew it. Looking forward to the next!

I understand a few people ran into issues with incorrect discs when ordering this in the past, so when I received mine I immediately checked the disc numbers to verify they were correct. All the right discs were there, so I believe Amazon has fixed whatever issue they were experiencing with their distributor.So, that being said, I've had no issues with this purchase and everything looks great. I'm so glad I now own the North American release of this anime, it's a fantastic series - my favorite, hands down.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show! Even got my husband into watching it and wanting more. I am glad that I didn't let the reviews of the voice of Yona keep me from buying this show (both seasons), because I would have been missing out on a GREAT anime!!! Keeping up hope that someway, somehow, SOMEONE will make more seasons of this show!!!

I got 2 disc 1 DVDs. However I have a blu ray player too so I got to watch the whole series. Was very cute series. I'm not sure if this is the end of the series. I would really like to know what happens after the last episode of this set. It's worth picking up and watching. It's one of the few animes I've watched recently that didn't leave me depressed at the end.

This show was great! It's got action, drama, romance, fantasy. At first the main girl's voice is a bit whiny and annoying but then she gets stronger and becomes a likeable character. My biggest grip is I wish there were more! Please release more of this wicked awesome anime.

This series is amazing. I absolutely love it and wish there was more than one season. Part two picks up right where part one leaves off, there's no time skip. The story is good and I didn't find that there were any slow moments or boring episodes. I typically prefer Japanese audio over the English dub but on this anime I watched the English version and was not disappointed. Fantastic series and worth the buy. Here's hoping another season is made!

Favorite anime of the last few years, strong female lead, real character development and a great story.Come on season 2.
