Excellent quality and value

A solid bit of kit, is this - has to be, to get those CE ratings. A few hints on installing ceiling lamps: use a step-ladder, make sure that the electricity is turned off (that one is very important) and use a good-quality screwdriver and wire-cutters. Do not leave bits of wire sprouting out of the terminals. Strip enough insulation for a good length of wire, and cut to suit. Make sure that the cable is held securely by the cord grip. In short: don't bodge it, as this is mains voltage stuff.

Cheap and work

I bought 3 of these as replacements after decorating.They were installed by my brother-in-law a qualified and very experienced electrician and all I can say is they went up and worked as expected.I did not have a problem with the length of lead, but this could be shortened if need be.It is too early to determine durability, but I would imagine this is standard.

The Lamp Holder, which is the screw bit on the end of the fitting is to long for my bulb, so I had to swap it with another in my house, which wasn't a problem as I had one but would mean buying if they was all the same.
