This is a great tool but the handle broke off the 2nd day of planting then the seeder lid cracked in half when opening. I'm still using the board and it's been helpful but not the best quality.

Not impressed. Here’s my take:1. When I opened the box, the first thing I saw was a card requesting a review and offering a gift. That’s bad form.2. THE GUIDE - Is super flimsy. (Don’t get it wet or dirty…um, aren’t I supposed to be taking this into my garden?) The guide is also completely out to lunch in a lot of the spacing suggestions AND is super limited in the types of vegetables offered – some obvious missed veg include beets, peas, lettuce and potatoes. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a gardener that put this together.3. THE DIBBER – The one-inch increments on the side of the wand…are not actually one inch. And the end of the seed spoon is so blunt and the bowl recessed back from the edge, that’s is pretty much useless for scooping seeds out of a package.4. One press done…now what? There are no impressions/indentations left in the soil beyond the poked seed holes to guide you with lining up additional presses/stamps. I think I ended up double planting in some spots and missing others altogether. Time will tell.5. One of the points on the Amazon product page promoted it as being made from “premium wood” for plant safety. Not sure about that, but when I opened it - I discovered it was actually made of varnished ½” plywood! So … wood + glue + chemicals!? Yuck. I can tell with repeated use and washing that it will warp over time too (not that I intend on using it again…definitely returning it).The concept of a Square Foot Garden seed spacing template is awesome, but the product itself is not.

I love it!! My only wish is to have a larger one. This is useful and really cuts down on your seed planting time so that you could finish your projects faster and efficiently.

This is nice but I wish I had noticed that it doesn't have all the standard planting spacing for square foot gardening. Not having a spacing for a block of nine is a big omission.

I like using this instead of a tape measure. Perfect for planting veges and other plants. Just used it for the first time last weekend and it worked great. It is simple and functional. There is also a sheet that tells you how far apart to plant different types of veges should you need it.

Great product at a great price. I am happy that the material is not plastic for a change. The planting template provided has been a great help to determine the space between various vegetables I planted. All in all perfect for square foot gardening.

I just used this to start my lettuce seeds in a small bed. Chart said use red circles. Placed the block over the dirt, punched holes in all the red circles, then dropped seeds. Covered and watered in. Boom. Done.

The product is not on point for square foot gardening. A lot of the spacings are incorrect. The spacing for 9 plants per square foot is missing all together and the list of options for vegetables to plant with is notably sparse. It is also poor quality being made of plywood - it will warp with repeated use. As far as seeding templates go for square foot gardening - I would keep looking.
