Top bit of kit!
I love this kettle! There were some reviews stating a problem with the design because you can only fill two cups at a time... Anyone who's owned Brita Filter Jugs before knows this is how they are supposed to work. It's perfectly normal with a built in Brita Filter to have to fill the chamber a few times in order to fill it fully. If you want to make 4 cups of tea you just fill the chamber once and wait for it to filter through, then fill it again and wait for the water to filter through. This process of filling the chamber twice takes about 3-4 extra seconds. It's not a fault. If you wanted to design a kettle with a Brita Filter that was capable of filtering 4 cups in one go then you would need a massive kettle to compensate for all the extra space. This kettle is just perfect as it is, trust me the people at Russell Hobbs thought it through... Another guy said the Brita Filter didn't purify the water, which is complete rubbish as I tested it myself using a TDS meter and I can confirm they do reduce solids in the water quite effectively. Not only does the tea glow golden and taste better but less lime scale in the kettle to clean due to the reduced solids in the water. It looks great when you can see the water boiling inside with the blue LED’s lighting up as well.

Use cheaper filters they work more effectively
I agree with other users . I used the Britax filter supplied for the first month and had to descale each and every week. I live in Norfolk an extremely heavy area.In the second month of use I used a cheaper version of the filter recommended by Amazon and was amazed at the difference, no white deposits on the bottom of the kettle for 4 weeks which is the point of replacement. For me a great kettle but bin the filter supplied and go for the cheaper option.

Becomes dangerous to use after 45 days
The kettle looks very good when it is new. There is a button on the handle which you can press to open the lid and pour water in. However, after using it for only about 1 and a half months (45 days), the lid cannot be closed/opened properly using that button. I examined it and found the plastic hinge is broken. I used similar types of kettle but much lower prices before. They also had the same problem, i.e., the plastic hinges break after using for about a year. It is about design problem. Image how many times we make tea in a day and how many times the hinge can last. It cannot last forver. A better design should use other materials, instead of plastic. But this particular one (Russell Hobbs 20760-10 BRITA Filter Purity Glass Kettle) is the worst of all, as its hinge breaks in just 45 days which is just too short of a kettle costing 35 pounds. It is now dangerious to use as when you are using it to boil water, the lid could open any time by itself. So I don't recommed it!

Best kettle I've bought
I live in a hard water area and was fed up with the scale build up in my old kettles so I thought it pay a bit more for a filter kettle. After reading lots of reviews on Amazon and on various other sites I decided to order this one, plus it was on offer. I definitely made the right choice. I didn't really think I'd notice the difference in taste but I was very wrong. My tea taste so much better than before. It doesn't take long to boil, it's quiet too and it looks fab when it is boiling with the blue light (pic 1). It holds four mugs of tea when it's full to capacity. The filter sits in the top of the kettle so water starts to drain through as you fill it (2nd pic). I've only had it a week but I'm hoping it will last longer than my previous kettles.

Poor on both fronts
Just gone faulty after a little less than 5 months use, Russell Hobbs point me back to Amazon, Amazon state my return window has closed.. Poor on both fronts, and the fact the kettle is broken within 5 months. would spend your money elsewhere on a company that knows customer service matters and a product lasts longer than 5 months.
