Jack Wolfskin Ladies Nova Iceguard Coat

I love this jacket! The quality color, fit and lightness for the price is perfect for winter travel! In particular, the color is thrilling with the subtle peek of purple, as most offer the basic same colors (black, white, navy and gray). I hope to enjoy this in the coming winter!

Amazing!!! Love this jacket! I'm 6'1" and 140 lbs. Fits perfectly in the shoulders. Barley makes it just enough for the arm length (purchased a large). It has very quality material and even with no sweater underneath it I'm still warm. Wind does not go through this jacket! I wasn't sure at first because it is thin, so I'm amazed. Love this jacket and would recommend to a friend! (Orange County, NY)

I purchased this for a trip to Europe in December. I really like the fit and it was very comfortable. Sometimes I have to go with a Large to get the sleeves to be long enough, but the Medium was fine in this case. It's nice that it has two interior pockets and fleece cuffs. The Dark Steel color is different, more of a brown hue than gray which is what I was hoping for. I did opt to go with a heavier coat (Jack Wolfskin Iceguard Coat) because I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold.

This coat is a bit heavier than expected. Thought if might be like packable down because there were so many comments that it was light weight.. Also thought it might have a detachable hood, but it doesn't. The color is great. I am short and wide and always have trouble with things fitting around my middle. I bought a large and it does fit. Seems extremely warm. Time will tell when the weather gets colder.

I wanted to keep this coat but it was very tight across the chest. It seemed to fit great everywhere else so I was disappointed to have to return it. I am fairly busty but an XL usually will fit, I am a size 12-14. I think this was an XXL. I would have given 5 stars but this runs small.

Love this coat. It’s warm considering it’s so thin and lightweight compared to similar coats. Nice cut on it. True to size. Large is 14-16 as it says. The fitted cuffs are lovely and cosy. Lots of pockets inside and out. Can’t fault it really.

Ich bin begeistert von diesem Mantel! Er hält absolut warm, auch unter extremen Bedingungen.Auf dem Fahrrad bei -8 grad und kaltem Ostwind (nur mit einem normalen Wollpulli darunter!) fühlteich mich angenehm klimatisiert (nicht zu warm und nicht zu kalt, perfekt). Und dabei ist die Jackedünn und federleicht. Gut finde ich auch die Innentaschen, eine der beiden Taschen hatSmartphone-Format.Abzüge gebe ich nur in der B-Note, und zwar beim Schnitt. Um meine Einschätzungzu verstehen: Bei Oberteilen liege ich zwischen 36 und 38, an der Hüfte eher bei 38/40, meine Armesind durch Sport bedingt etwas kräftiger. Positiv zu bemerken ist, dass die Jacke am Oberkörperoptisch perfekt sitzt und dabei in einer S grosszügig Platz an den Ärmeln gibt und auch in derSchulter nicht spannt, wenn man die Arme nach vorn nimmt.Sonst hätte ich bei einer Jacke schon aus diesen Platzansprüchen immer eine 38 gekauft, was aber hierabsolut nicht nötig ist, was sich auch mit anderen Rezensionen deckt, in denen gesagt wird, dass die Jackeetwas größer ausfällt. Der Schnitt ist nicht stark figurbetont, eine Taille ist aber auf jeden Fall zu erkennen. DasProblem ist, dass der Mantel unterhalb der Hüfte sehr schmal geschnitten ist, so dass man bei einer bis untengeschlossenen Jacke in der Bewegung doch schon eingeschränkt ist (oder sich die Jacke unschön verformt),in die Knie gehen kann man auf keinen Fall mehr.Beim Radfahren kann man unten ein paar Druckknöpfe offen lassen und die Jacke schiebt sich ein bischennach oben, das sieht sicher nicht so toll aus (und die Jacke ist dafür auch nicht gedacht), es funktioniert aber ;-)Evt. wären diese Probleme mit einer 38 milder, allerdings wäre mir die Jacke dann im oberen Bereich zu weit ...Also für den Schnitt gebe ich 3 Sterne, für das Material 7 Sterne, macht im Mittel 5.

Ho acquistato la taglia XL. Porto una 48 e mi va perfetto di larghezza ma, essendo io alta "solo" 1 metro e 65, le maniche risultano lunghe. Questo è l'unico difetto del capo, che per il resto mi piace molto. E' leggerissimo, ma molto caldo. I polsini sono in pile, così come l'interno delle tasche: per me, che non amo usare i guanti, si tratta di due particolari molto importanti e che assicurano un ottimo confort quando si mettono le mani in tasca! Ottimo il collo che protegge bene anche in caso di vento e il cappuccio, non staccabile, è ben aderente e protettivo. La lunghezza è uno dei motivi che mi hanno spinta a scegliere questo modello, perché volevo un giaccone molto lungo : a me arriva al ginocchio. E' impermeabile (verificato per ora solo sotto piogga leggera) e traspirante. Il colore grigio è come in fotografia, grigio tendente al marrone, molto bello. Il tessuto esterno è opaco e sembra un po' facile a macchiarsi. In generale sono molto soddisfatta del capo e del prezzo pagato (qualcosa in meno di 100 euro).EDIT: aggiungo la quinta stella dopo averne acquistato un altro, da regalare alla mia anziana mamma: è stata conquistata dalla leggerezza e dal calore di questo giaccone/cappotto che per lei è diventato irrinunciabile nei freddi inverni torinesi. Mi dice che quando esce le viene il dubbio di essersi dimenticata di indossare il cappotto, tanto è leggero :-)

Dies ist meine zweite Iceguard Winterjacke. Ich habe mir schon vor einigen Jahren eine bestellt und wollte jetzt eine Zweite. Ich wusste also worauf ich mich freuen kann. Der Mantel ist superleicht und anfangs denkt man, wie kann sowas warm halten? Aber das tut der Mantel. Er ist wasser- und winddicht. Bislang hatten wir noch keine Minustemperaturen, da ich aber das Vorgängermodel habe, gehe ich davon aus, dass der Mantel mich genauso warm hält. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass die Kapuze nicht abnehmbar ist, sondern fest vernäht ist. Sie kann aber mit Zugbändern von der Größe her verstellt werden. Fleecebündchen am Armabschluss halten nochmal extra warm und die Außentaschen bieten viel Platz für Handschuhe, Handy und Geldbeutel. Auch zwei Innentaschen (ohne Reißverschluss) für Handy oder Tempo sind vorhanden. Die Jacke wird mit einem zwei Wege Reißverschluss verschlossen und es gibt dann noch eine Knopfleiste um den Reißverschluss zu verdecken. Alles in Allem eine tolle Jacke die man für den Preis erst mal finden muss.

This was a lovely coat in many ways... Comfy and warm and a lovely color. Sadly the sizing is off. At 5ft 9 size 10-12, the medium was huge (estimate 12-14) and the small too snug (estimate 8-10). The large size lacked any style and looked awful. Such a shame to have to return it.
