Great Piece of Kit To Quiet Your Chain & Protect Your Chain Stay
I’ve been using a Small Lizard Skins li9960 neoprene chain stay protector for the past year. I ride year round, an average of 5 days a week. That means I’ve ridden w/the Lizard Skins protector in all types of weather & temperatures.Lizard Skins are made in the USA, made w/neoprene, sewn w/a tight stitch & heavy-duty thread. I have had no issues w/the stitching, no loose or hanging threads.According to the Lizard Skins website, the protectors are all 280mm long & the different sizes are designed for chain stays w/the following circumferences (weights of LS protectors):Small (21g) - 70-100 mmMedium (27g) - 100-125 mmLarge (31g) - 125-140 mmAs I stated at the beginning of this review, I’ve ridden w/the Lizard Skins chain stay protector for almost a year (July 2019). It does a great job eliminating any chain clank & damage that may be caused by the chain slapping around. I hose it down to rinse out dust & dirt when I wash my MBT. On a couple occasions I’ve agitated it in the bucket w/soap & water to clean it. Once, I put Oxiclean & soap w/water in the bucket, to really clean the dirt & lubricants out of the protector. This worked really well & did not hurt it at all.Overall, this was a great investment. Sub $10 for something that protects so well & you don’t think about when you ride. I would definitely recommend the Lizard Skins chain stay protector to anyone who was thinking about protecting their chain stay.Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.

Works perfect, fits perfect, looks good...
I bought the small for my Trek Marlin 7, it fit but was pretty tight, so I put it on my sons Trek Precaliber 24” mtb, fits perfect, I bought the medium to put on my Marlin 7, I wrapped it around the shift cable, these are nice, they dont move, an look good, the Lizard skin logo is barely visible which Im happy about. Cant go wrong here, best value for the money, Im not a clear sticker protector fan, these work perfect and look good and most of all protect my frame which was getting hammered by my chain.

Great value for the money.
I’ve used Lizard Skins chainstay protectors for decades. This newer version is the best I’ve used. The stickier backing that touches the frame keeps it from sliding around like previous versions tended to do, and it’s thick enough to keep the chain from doin any damage and also keeps noise down.I ordered the smaller size and it fits standard chainstay diameters (on my Trek 6000, 8000, and 8500). It does have a good amount of stretch which makes fitting easy.

Measure before you buy.
I purchased the small for my 2019 Talon 2 29er. It fits perfect, grab a piece of paper and wrap around widest section of chainstay tube and cable to get your size like another review suggested, I used two post it notes attached to make the lenth. I measured mine at 95mm same as small. Color is not as bright as picture, for me it was perfect.

Great upgrade to protect your bike's frame
Fit nicely and does a great job at protecting the frame. Make sure and measure the thickest part of your frame where it will be installed so you know which size to buy. I used a small piece of paper, wrapped it around the thickest frame tube, then measured it in mm. Looks a lot better than the electrical tape I had wrapped around the frame to due the same job.

A total recommend
Like always I give my review with the good and the no so goodThe good-really easy to install, you can install and remove without any problem-the price is ok for the quality- reduce chain noise immediately- you can washedNo so good-you really neeed to measure to make sure right fit-can be more thick

Just what i needed
I bought the small for a Diamondback Line and it was the perfect fit. I would dare to say that small will fit most if not all hard tails or ridged bikes. The fit was great and the "shark skin" keeps it where you put it. Maybe an option for a zipper would be nice but the hook loop works fine, just a little bit of a pain to get to lay flat with the wheel on. At least on my bike

A Must for a New Bike
I freakin’ love these things. Whenever I have acquired a new or used bike, this is my very first purchase for it. It protects your frame, fits perfectly, and silences your chain if it hits the chainstay. It’s also extremely durable, I’ve never had to replace one.Shipping from Lizard Skins was impossibly fast.Highly recommended!

Works and lasts
I have had one of these on an older bike for 21 years and it is still in great working order. This new one fits my Vitus Sentier MTB perfectly. They can be a bit fiddly to attach neatly as you have to fasten the velcro evenly along its length, but are easy to remove for occasional cleaning and are very durable. They are 100% protection against chain slap on the chain stay.

These are fantastic
Bought this in size small to fit to a mid range hybrid bike, I did measure the circumference but id say it's the most common size. Fits perfectly.I knew the quality would be good as I've had the same product fitted to my mountain bike got several years.Protects the frame flawlessly and never gets in the way or works lose.

Great texture. Sharkskin like texture sticks to the metal. Good—- update 2This is my second order. Really like the quality so i bought another one to cover the areas in my Brompton that gets in contact with cables and left pedal when foldedIf theres anything i have to change is to remove the big Lizard Skins logo

Works Well on a Carrera Vuclan
Works well on my Carrera Vuclan XL frame. I only needed the small Lizard Skin and it fits well. Been out a few times on cross country mountain adventures and it hasn't moved. Easy to clean, protects the chain stay. Job done.
