They work!
Item as described and came in very quickly. It was packaged well and it's a must have to check PtV clearances when dropping a high performance cam in your engine build. Always check PtV clearance or you will be sorry!

They worked, BUT read all of this review, there is much more to this story
I installed the checking springs to test the valve to seat seal after a machinist, Mike Schultz of Thumper Heads fit new valves and machined the valve seats to fit them The seats leaked right away. I had a second machinist look at the seats and valves and he said it was the worst valve job he has ever seen. There was no contact for about 1/3 distance around the seat. The seat was ruined by Mike Schultz because of his machine work, allegedly. The newly machined seats were not concentric. Now I have to buy new valve seats and machine the seats again. The cost will be about $600 more. Mike Schultz of Thumper Heads, ruined my engine head, allegedly. Originally, I chose Mike Schultz over many other machinists because I believed his self promotion and his promotion by Chris of autoxcooper. Man, was i fooled. Bottom line is that I donated $1,700.00 to Mike Schultz of Thumper Heads of FL so that he could ruin my engine, allegedly. How naive I was. Now I have to spend an additional $600 to repair Thumper Head's work. Good luck on your own engine build.

works, had to cut off a couple coils for wide guide boss base
I had to cut off a couple coils, these do not clear the wide guide boss bases on vortec heads so they end up sitting on the shoulder. to get full valve movement I had to cut off the bottom couple of coils. Once done, they worked. for something bosses with smaller ID than the springs these would work pretty well. used for checking retainer to guide clearance and degreeing cam.
