Q: Will this fit the galaxy watch 5 44mm?

I'm not sure I have galaxy watch 3 45mm.

Q: Does the back band get in the way of QI charging?

My Samsung active 2 comes with a small charging pad that I can slide between this band and the back of the watch for charing, since there's a small wiggle room and the watch can slide between the 2 metal fasteners. Since the charing pad and the watch have to be in physical contact, I can't use a larger charger without taking the watch off the band because the band prevents direct contact.
