Easy Wood Tools Combo = Mini Easy Rougher, Finisher & Detailer! Woodturning by Easy Wood Tools

These tools are great, I've been a woodworker for many years, and in the past few years have started to get heavy into working with the lathe. I went to a trade show recently and was able to try these out. I wasn't very impressed, but then my father bought them and, after playing around with them, I was hooked. They make all aspects of turning so much easier; the cutter piece is removable so you no longer have to worry about sharpening. The square cutter lets you rough wood very quickly. The round piece makes bowl cutting a breeze. The detailer lets you get some nice coves and markings. If you're serious about using the lathe, these are a must have because of their versatility and effectiveness. If you're casual on the lathe, these are a must have because it's the only 3 tools you need; as opposed to buying dozens of expensive chisels you won't use. The only other chisel I use is a roughing gouge for large pieces, but these three will do the job very well.

These tools work great. There is some learning curve for sure, especially with the detailer. I would recommend getting a 2" radius cutter for the rougher, it is easier to control and make good cuts than the other tools. I've been using the 2" radius cutters for final cuts, and I have yet to need anything less than 220 grit for starting sanding. I highly recommend these to any turner, especially if you hate sharpening as much as I do.

These tools will be easer to teach my grandchildren about woodturning. The learning process about handling turning tools and technique will be faster for them to learn.

This is the 3rd set of Easy Wood tools in the last year I have purchased! I own all 3 tools in the 3 different sizes. I love them all. These mini tools can get into the small areas where my full size rougher, finisher, and detailer would not even come close to getting into. Craig Jackson and his company Easy Wood Tools rock! Thanks guys. If there is one downfall to these tools, its that they take a different size allen wrench to remove the carbide tool bit (even the mini set take 2 different allen wrenches for the 3 tools). So now along with the tools I have a collection of allen wrenches to keep track of, but I have color coded the allen wrenches to the color of the wooden handle of the tool. Seems to be working great....
