I recently tried the Fire & Flavor Oak Wood Chunks for my smoker, and they are fantastic! The chunks are large, solid, and burn for a long time, which means you don’t have to keep adding wood constantly. I have been complaining over Weber brand chunks - as I throw out about 1/4 of the bag - and I have been doing this for some time - regardless of the size. Why? Unidentifiable wood pieces - pith wood you would NEVER use. When I saw this brand and supposedly nice size (uniform) I thought - gimmick. I ordered it. WOW - FINALLY a company that provides premium wood chunks. ALL the chunks are Hickory - NO odd - what the hell is this stuff in the bag. No giblets. All uniform - all hickory - premium. NOW I am going to order their other wood types. IT IS WORTH the price (higher than Weber) because NO WASTE. I dumped out this entire bag and was just overwhelmed to see such perfect wood chunks. In the smoker right now - I can smell the hickory!!
