Krusteaz Cinnamon Swirl Crumb Cake and Muffin Mix, 21 oz Box

THIS KRUSTEAZ CINNAMON COFFEE CAKE is to DIE FOR! My hubby was our family's self-appointed coffee cake guru. He loved nothing better than to whip up a Bisquick coffee cake on weekends and/or holidays. He always tripled the sugary topping, baking it until the insides were very course and dry -and- the sugary topping baked/boiled to rival the consistency of homemade peanut brittle. (Super hard on the teeth!) HE and the kids seemed to LOVE it! ME - well, not so much. One day I came across the KRUSTEAZ brand of baking products. The lemon bars were divine, so at the risk of offending my husband, I thought I'd take a chance and give the cinnamon coffee cake a try. Knowing that he and the boys adore a thick coating of sweet crumb topping, I decided to add a little extra homemade cinnamon crumble that I had stored in the freezer. In order to satiate their penchant for extra sweetness, I mixed it in with the boxed topping and added it to the top of the cake batter prior to baking. About an hour later, the tantalizing aroma of cinnamon had filled the air, beckoning each family member to the kitchen just in time for a sample slice of the beautiful and enticing treat. The kids knew immediately that THIS WAS NOT Dad's good olde coffee cake (for the topping had NOT boiled over the pan and forged a hard, stinky layer of sugar onto the oven racks and floor). Thank goodness I had the foresight to already have cut and saved myself a piece, for the pan was emptied within minutes. Everyone's eyes were wide in wonder. "GREAT CAKE, MOM!" After I had finally consumed my slice, I was in hearty agreement, as was my husband. It was delicious -AND- without major effort nor extensive clean-up. SUCCESS! Truthfully, I don't recall my hubby having made his homemade Bisquick concoction for quite some time, now. (Thank God, 'cause no one really relished the ambiguous smell of luscious cinnamon intertwined with acrid burnt sugar permeating every inch of our home.) So, THANKS KRUSTEAZ for your wonderfully satisfying coffee cake AND other baking products!

This is the best crumb cake mix I have used. It is every bit as delicious as homemade. Because it is a 21oz box it make a good amount. Fun to make into regular cupcakes or mini-cupcakes. They are moist and sometimes that doesn't happen with gluten free products. You can't go wrong with the price on Amazon.

All boxes came looking like the were kicked all the way here. Anyhow the topping got this cake is a bit too sugary for me. Coffee cropping is fine but this was to sweet 🏖️

Great coffee cake.

This crumb cake/coffee cake mix is so easy and tastes delicious. The quantity of topping/filling is generous and I always feel like there's plenty for both layers. It's great for breakfast, brunch or really any time. Warming a slice for a few seconds in the microwave is my preference if you've made it ahead of time, but it's good at room temperature too. I've taken this to several people's houses for breakfast and they all liked it as well. I also made this with an 8-year old and we had a blast. I always have a box or two on hand.
