Easy to use, holds enough, and dog loves it
We got this bottle to take on walks, or just to have with us for longer play sessions outside. It holds plenty of water for a good walk. It is very easy to use, both for the human and the dog, and it is easy to clean.Fill the bottle, and you can carry it without any worry about spilling. The wrist lanyard helps make carrying fairly easy. When your dog is thirsty, press the button and let gravity pull water into the bowl for your dog to drink. Depending on how messy your dog is, after your dog has had her fill, you can either dump the little bit of extra water from the bowl onto the grass, or press the button to allow the extra water to run back into the bottle. There is some filtration, so you don't end up with pieces of grass and debris in the bottle. It took our puppy no time at all to figure it out, and she loves drinking from it.When you are finished with your walk, water the plants with any leftover water, rinse/wash the bottle and bowl, and let it dry for the next walk. I usually just rinse thoroughly, letting water flow back and forth through the lid to be sure it is rinsed well, and scrub the bowl. Then periodically I give it a good wash and scrub. I have not tried it in the dishwasher, but the bottle opening is wide enough that washing by hand is easy. I try not to allow any soapy water into the pouring mechanism, so the filter doesn't end up imparting a soapy taste to the water, and just scrub well and rinse thoroughly.

I'm not worried about my cat's water intake anymore.
The only time my 5 month old kitten, Louis, was interested in drinking water was when I took out a cold fresh bottle from the fridge for myself. He would take it over and drink from it. I tried leaving water out but he would spill it everwhere or even letting it drop for him in the shower. He would drink but out of eventual necessity. Also I didn't want him drinking tap water anyways. I was going to get him a fountain but they are a little pricey. He loves cold water so I looked for something portable and this seemed like my best option. Now every morning when I get my water out of the fridge I get his as well and he drinks excitedly. Any water that he doesn't finish is easily drained back into the bottle when you press the the same button that dispenses it. I should have gotten a picture of him drinking this morning. It just made me so happy that I wanted to tell my friends. I was so worried about him not getting enough water until I made it a routine with us drinking together after I feed him. In our case I have to remember to put it back in the fridge so it's cold for next time, I have a special bottle designated for him to refill dispenser. We do have a friend that bought us a small fountain. He seemed to play in it a little but he still likes me to give him his water portably. I had amazing luck in rescuing this kitten when he came to our door step about a month ago. He is the companion I never knew I needed and I will do anything to ensure he lives a long, healthy life.

Not good for flying
I ordered it to use on our 5 hour flight when we moved. But it was of no use because of the new ESA rules. They will not let you even open the crate now to give them water or anything else unless it's an emergency. You can drop them a treat but that's about it.Also my dog would not use it when we went camping. She was scared of it. She does not like new things.Good idea but not if you have a dog that is very timid or doesn't like new things. Or if you are on a plane.
