Works for me very well but shreds for my husband. Alas, it is a personal choice. The flavor is strong with first use only and then thankfully fades after opening. The packaging is delicate, but has worked now for a couple of months without falling apart. It cannot be manhandled and would likely not enjoy rattling around in a pocket or purse. But for home use it is working well and suits my desire for less to no plastic.

Fine/thin enough to fit under gumline without any irritation which I love, gritty enough to take off plaque (not overly smooth where it doesn't), strong - does not shred easily, I do have one badly chipped teeth on both sides that I am getting fixed soon and it does catch on those two spots and shreds a tiny bit, so I use another floss just for that tooth. But overall extremely impressed with the quality and strength especially given its natural floss (previously purchased Toms but after learning I wasn't flossing correctly realized no way I could fit that under my gums without destroying them and use it to shred all the time with all teeth all the time).

I’ve used it for years

This works ok but avoid using the same spot more than once, or the string can start to shred. The paper container is a big problem - the top lid broke off quickly and then the small metal piece that acts to cut the floss broke off later, so now I have to use a scissor to cut a section of the string to use. The manufacturer should at least re-enforce the top lid.

RECEIVED MINT flavor, not stated in title or description. It does say "MINT" in the picture in small letters but this isn't how Gentle Floss mint flavor is packaged currently with big mint leaves on it (which is what I received). Gentle floss is a great lower impact product with lots of floss in a paper, not plastic, box, but if you're looking for the original plain / non-mint flavor, this isn't it.

I love this floss - it sounds silly to love floss, but it actually seems to grab the plaque from between your teeth better than other kinds. For someone with slightly jagged teeth like mine (easy to have cavities between them), this floss is a godsend. The eco-friendly aspect is just a bonus.Also they do send 6 rolls. Not 1 like some suggest.

I really like this floss. It's thin and strong, easy to get in my teeth but not so slick that it feels like it's doing nothing. The flavor and smell is strong at first, but I got used to it and now I'm a fan.I don't like the cardboard dispenser, though. Luckily it turns out that most plastic floss dispensers are reusable and will accommodate these rolls. I just popped off the top of my previous floss dispenser, put the Eco-Dent roll in, and popped the top back on!

It does break and shred easily - but feel so much better knowing it doesn’t have any plastics or chemicals.
