Pacsafe Travelsafe X25 Anti-Theft Portable Safe, Black

I now have two of these Pacsafe travelsafes, and while I don't travel much, I do love to have one of these in each of my cars. There are many times where I will have my work laptop and gear with me (on my way home for instance) and I cannot (or do not want) to bring it with me to a restaurant/store/etc. I put my stuff in this safe, anchor it to something in the rear of my SUV, and put the rear cover on so it's hidden (note: I do this prior to arriving to the place where I park)While the braided steel wire could be cut with the right tools and effort, at least I've got one level of theft deterrence against 'smash and grabs.' I also use this when we go camping, to the beach, etc. Again, it's not theft-proof, but anything that makes it more difficult is a huge plus.

I bought this bag to secure a backpack, and to provide secure transport for pricey items.Pros - very secure. Once it's locked, no one is getting inside without wire cutters. Not bulky. Fits my weekend sized backpack inside of it. (25L or 35L - I forget)Cons. The straps are stupidly designed. The handle on top of the bag is not designed with a velcro overlap to hold them together. The backpack straps are unpadded, and not comfortable.

I love this bag for the peace of mind. It is nice to have a little bit of extra security but the straps need to be upgraded. By the end of our trip we despised having to carry this around as the straps feel like they are cutting into your shoulders if there is much weight in the bag. Wish we had gotten a smaller one but are past the point of return. It would also be nicer if it has compartments inside the bag. It is one big compartment with no breakdown for smaller places inside.

I also own two 12L bags and one 5L bag to safeguard belongings in vehicles. Just like the 12L and 5L, this 25L is of excellent quality and workmanship. Highly recommended.

Looks like it is capable to doing what it advertises.... unfortunately, skimming over the size in the product description did not adequately prepare me for the size of this thing.... I could have fit a bowling ball in this bag, with plenty of room for other things. Returned it and ordered one half as large.... figure I'm not going to be traveling with THAT much stuff that needs safekeeping... lol

Very impressed with this bag/portable safe. It is the perfect size. It can store a Herschel backpack, MacBook Pro, DSLR camera, and still have room for documents or other valuables. It is built from high quality materials, and easy to secure in just a few seconds. The lock that comes with it, is adequate but I decided to purchase a FJM Security SX-575 Padlock...which DOES fit the locking hole. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another if needed.

Much improved over the earlier version. It's easier to lock and it stand up on its own! The straps to pick it upFrom the top are very handy to hold the bag open when loading it and the backpack stats are great for freeing your hands to carry other bags when traveling.The large size held all my camera gear, laptop, external drives, and travel documents. I never travel without my Pacsafe!

What a great product! We’ve been wanting a bag like this for when we travel. Perfect size, holds plenty of stuff for the beach and was easy to secure while at the beach or pool. Love it!

This is the best/biggest version of this type of product I could find. I have not used this yet. I ordered the x25 version. It is a good size, supprisingly lightweight, very roomy. The fabric and weaving are tough... it would take any thief a really good while to get through the fabric. I plan to strap it to my motorcycle and expect it would easy do me a 2 week trip (I pack light, and I'm 5ft small... so my stuff is small). The dual use handles as a backpack (or carry bag) is good, because if you were to leave the pack in a quiet place (even secured to a motorbike), I suspect any well equipped thief could cut through the main wire. The casual-thief would stand no chance :)It could do with a few more secure connection points to be really secure (and put off thiefs) as if you just use the top-connection supplied, 'one snip' and someone could have the whole bag away. I plan to wrap it with a couple of PAC-safe/wrap-safes onto my bike-rack if I leave it for any length of time. I would only leave this secured to my bike in very busy places (overlooked).I ordered the black version so as not to attract attention. I think it is water resistant (but the water can easily get in the top). Wrapping it in a bin liner to help waterproof and also cargo netting over it would help it blend-in and help waterproof. Possibly put a bin liner inside if you want to waterproof your stuff and use it as a back pack.

Wer kennt das nicht: Man ist im Urlaub und es gibt keinen Safe oder er ist einfach zu klein. Bei solch einem Szenario verlässt man mit einem mulmigen Gefühl das Zimmer, schließlich ist es nicht ungewöhnlich dass Gegenstände im Urlaub abhanden kommen.Für mich ist der Travelsafe auch ein Grund warum ich im Urlaub sorgenfreier bin und abschalten kann da ich mir darum keine Gedanken mehr mache. Wichtige Dinge sind im Travelsafe im Zimmer angeschlossen wenn ich sie nicht gerade dabei habe.Natürlich ist der Travelsafe nicht "ultra-sicher" doch Gelegenheitsdiebe hält er ab.Verbesserungspotential sehe ich- am mitgelieferten Schloss. Nachdem wir im letzten Ibiza Urlaub am Strand ausgeraubt wurden bin ich etwas paranoid geworden was meine Fotografieausstattung inkl. Laptop betrifft. Da wir dieses Jahr Urlaub im Ferienhaus gebucht haben und nicht sicher waren ob es einen Safe gibt habe ich mir diesen Sack und ein weiteres kleineres Modell für den Strand bestellt.Die Qualität und Verarbeitung ist erstklassig! Ich habe diesen nach Befüllung an der Heizung befestigt und hatte immer ein gutes Gefühl wenn wir das Haus verlassen haben. Gleiches gilt für den kleineren Sack den ich am Strand an den Strandliegen bzw. Schirmen befestigt habe. Es ist im ersten Moment etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber letztendlich konnten so alle gleichzeitig ins Wasser, was wir uns sonst nicht getraut haben.Gutes Produkt, würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen!

I like I can tie it up to something and go swimming, etc...without having to worry about my stuff.

Ich habe mir den Rucksack für einen Urlaub gekauft, Um meine Wertsachen sicher zu verstauen und ich gemütlich schwimmen gehen kann.Denn man kann diesen Rucksack zum Beispiel an einer Palme, ohne an einer Liege befestigen, Hauptsache der Gegenstand ist star.In dem Rucksack passt Nicht nur ein Badehandtuch oder auch zwei , mindestens 2-3 Flaschen Wasser, Meine Handtasche, Plus Laptop etc.Also dieser Rucksack muss ich sagen, Der ist richtig groß. Für meine Verhältnisse muss ich sagen Er war mir ein wenig zu groß.Negativ:-Leider hat dieser Rucksack keine kleine Innentasche Für zum Beispiel das Portmonee Oder andere Kleinigkeiten Schlüssel etc. Das finde ich echt schade.- und wenn der Rucksack so voll ist tut es an den Schultern weh da die Schulterriemen nicht abgepolstert sind.
