Royal Rooster1 Gallon Automatic Twin Chicken Waterer with 2 gravity-feed valve-operated drinking cups - Indoor and Outdoor Coop Hanging Chicken, Duck and Poultry Water Dispensing System

I installed this waterer in our chicken coop for 7 chickens. It seems to be working well, and the chickens figured it out quickly. There are a couple of things that could be better, though. I installed the waterer in the coop, so I have to take it out to check how much water is left, and to refill it. One thing I'd love is a way to check the water level. Maybe a glass on the outside? Also, the full waterer is really quite heavy, and when the PVC pipe of the body gets wet, it gets extremely slippery. I ended up attaching a rope loop to the top to make it easier to carry, but why not include it in the beginning?

My silkie chicks could not figure out nipple waterers or the cup waterers that had the piece to be pecked in order for water to be released. This has been perfect. Water stays in the cups at all times. As the blue float falls, the cups refill. Everything stays clean and water isn't wasted. No leaks or issues and they started using it right away.

I took an 11 gallon watering system made from 4” pvc with nipples out of my coop due to leaking and soaking the floor. Installed these at different heights and love them. I can take them off the wall every week to dissenfect/scrub clean. I can rinse and refill everyday and no more wet floor in my coop! I can easily change out vitamins, oregano oil, garlic, cider vinegar for my birds health easily.

If you have chickens, you know how much time you can spend maintaining their water supply. Open water systems get dirty fast.. the chicken's scratch and peck behavior throws stuff everywhere and a lot of that ends up in the water supply. For their health, it's best to keep their water as clean as possible at all times.This waterer minimizes exposure to external contaminants and it can be conveniently located in the coop due to its small footprint.I've had this for a couple weeks now, no leaks. If that changes I'll update this review. For the price, we shouldn't have any issues with this product.This product was an immediate hit with the Cochins I have. I didn't have it mounted yet and they were determined to investigate the red cups with the blue floats. So no training is required.

We now have three of these waterers & two of the feeders of the same tube style. They work really great! We bought the third one for outside the coop, as we have our chickens running around in our little Vineyard area during the day and they use it all the time. They're pretty easy to keep clean - just hose them out. The only downside is I have one that was kept in a really shady area & grew a few little black mold spots in the very bottom which was a little bit harder to clean out. (I soaked apple cider vinegar in it for awhile & that helped a lot) They're better than any other waterer we've used & definitely worth the money.Fyi - there's always a little bit of water in the Red Cups, so there's really no learning curve for your hens. They'll go to get that water in the cup & when they put their beak in it pushes down a little lever that releases more water so there's always some water in the little red cups.

This is by far the best chicken waterer I have purchased to date. Other waterers, after only a few weeks of use develop algae inside and honestly so hard to clean. This one is straight forward and much easier to clean, and fill. Also takes up less room in a chicken coop given that you can hang it up, rather than placing it on the ground. Most important to me, personally, is that the waterer stays clean longer, i.e., less prone to get dirt or their poops in the water as it it propped up of the ground with a cover. Highly recommended, along with the same brand/style chicken feeders I bought alongside these waterers.We bought two of these for our six hens.

I was really excited to set this up but one of the holes that the cups connect to was not threaded so the cup wouldn’t attach no matter how many times I tried to twist it on. Super disappointed as I purchased this to hold enough water while I’m away on vacation and now I’ll have to quickly come up with another plan. I love the idea of this but they’re a little too pricey to arrive defective and unusable
