Really cute bedtime Christmas story
This was really sweet and different than any other christmas story which is kinda rare. The illistrations were cute. The size of the book was larger than expected. It is easy to follow and a quick read. Perfect for bedtime. It mentioned the difficult topic of a child asking for a baby sibling for Christmas. This hit close to home for us. It basically said that's one of the things santa doesn't do but would give the child a book about different types of families. It didn't mention anything about different types of families just that the child could have a book like that. I wonder why they'd bring that up without saying anything to help a child reading it that wanted a sibling but couldn't have one. Mentioning a book doesn't help, maybe they hoped it would trigger a conversation as if we haven't had our share of difficult conversations about it already. I'd love to have more children and my 5 year old would love to have a baby and no book about families looking differently makes it easier for us because we are all to aware that families are different. That's not the book's fault but I just wonder why mention it at all without saying something helpful, was it to show that santa can't give everything you ask for? Could've been done by a child asking for superpowers or a castle for a house to live in that wouldn't have been as emotional of a topic. I'm sure the author meant well and I am happy a book chose to acknowledge it instead of santa acting like a baby is already on the way or to keep hoping or something but I do wish it were more constructive. That is just me and most families will not think anything about the subject and most children will not even realize it is a thing to think about. I'm not upset at all with the book, just curious. Also wondering about how it says the toy knows the deepest wish of their child and they make sure santa knows so they'll get it, I'd rather my child know they should ask santa if they want him to know what they want instead of testing him or something. I know I probably sound like I can't be happy but I am and am really happy it was about Santa and the magic of Christmas and old and new toys that have been well loved.Overall it was a nice book with a cool storyline.

Cute story
The Toys' Christmas is a cute children's story in which the favorite stuffed animals or toys of children all over the world gather and make the long journey to visit Santa. Each stuffed animal and toy then tells Santa what their child wants for Christmas that year. While the book is suitable for any child who believes in Santa, I think it is especially a good read for an only child. There's a brief part in the book in which one of the toys says their child wants a sibling and Santa explains that isn't the type of present in his power to give. I thought it was explained well on a child's level that they would be able to understand. The book has nice illustrations and while it might not be the most memorable children's book, it's good enough to add to your family's collection of Christmas reads. I think after a kid reads this book they'll have a fun time imaging their favorite toy making the journey to see Santa every year.

Sweet, Magical Story, Beautifully Illustrated For Young Readers, or to Read to the Littlest Ones
As this story begins, it is Christmas Eve and time for young Noah to be getting ready for bed. He must be asleep before Santa can deliver his presents. But there’s a problem, Fanfan, his favourite stuffed animal is nowhere to be found.Fanfan is headed to visit with Santa, since everyone knows that a child shares all their wishes and dreams with their favourite stuffed animal. It is that beloved toy’s responsibility to let Santa know what their child wants to find under their tree on Christmas morning. It’s a long journey for Fanfan, and along the way he needs to help Mr. Long Ears, a stuffed rabbit. When they finally get to the place where the other stuffed toys are now gathered, they join them in continuing their journey while sharing their stories of the past year. Finally they arrive, and Santa calls them up to share what their child wants most of all. Then they set off to return to their home.Of course, the first thing Noah looks for when he wakes up Christmas morning is Fanfan, and his Mom calling his name to let him know that Santa was there. When he opens his present, it is exactly what he wanted! And Fanfan smiles knowing that it was all worth it.This is a sweet, magically imaginative story for young readers, or young ones experiencing Christmas with anticipation. Beautifully illustrated by Genevieve Godbout, a perfect story to read to the littlest ones as Christmas approaches. Many thanks for the ARC provided by Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children’s Books / Frances Lincoln Children’s Books
