DK Eyewitness Japan (Travel Guide) Paperback – December 14, 2021

I had previously used a DK book for travelling in South Korea and found it very helpful, so I thought I would try the book for Japan. I found this book to be very helpful as well with different places to visit and the train or bus line to get there. Also tried a bar and ice cream shop recommended by the book and both were terrific. Besides the main attractions, there are numerous other suggestions for places to visit and eat. If you are a first-time visitor to Japan, this book is an excellent resource to plan and carry with you on your trip.

Just what I wanted and ordered

I like the pictures and details of each place we can visit, the structure of the book dividing the cities and many planned tour suggestions.

Ive always loved dk travel guides, ever since high school. They are very nice to read and full of pictures and good information. Im not able to travel in real life sadly because of disability but i can use my imagination and read these books.This one about Japan is beautiful and the digital copy was only 2 dollars! It is full of good travel info about japan and it has a little humor. If you want to travel to japan or just want to see good pictures of Japan, get this book.

My husband and I spent 12 days in Japan and this book went with us everywhere. Great recommendations and facts about so many things. Small enough that it doesn’t take up too much space in a backpack for day trips.

Love DK books

Although this travel guide has beautiful photos and helpful information on what to visit in Japan, it didn't have enough basic information on "dos and don'ts" while visiting Japan. Also, the language translations in the back of the book....print is so small, couldn't read.

DK guides are the best guides available. Easy to read, intelligent, helpful.

Having owned many editions over the years of the paper format of the DK Eyewitness Travel Guides, and now new to the Kindle format, I truly feel that both the structure and content of the older format (e.g., Japan 2017 paper edition) is considerably superior to that of the newer format (e.g., Japan 2021 Kindle edition). The older format was more intuitive to read, provided greater inspiration to travel to those places, and had much more interesting and educational graphics, maps and photos.

There is so much bite sized information in this book - it's the best one to start planning your trip.There are a few itineraries you could use or just note some of the ideas. Little insider tips on transport, shops, restaurants. Good amount of detail to give you a flavour of the areas you plan to visit.It's a definite must have in your travel bag.
