Great medium flip knife
Amazing blade, well balanced and can perform in camping scenarios, though no splitting wood with it, light, tough and nimble.

I LOVE Tops knifes and this one is no exception. First off what a beautiful knife but it’s performance is nothing to take lightly either, this knife is built to last considering the 100% quality materials used. The action is the smoothest I’ve ever felt with any knife without an assisted flip action to the point where you’d think it was assisted, pure butter and just a joy to use! The Scandinavian grind makes this knife unique, great for carving and bushcraft needs in a pinch but is not limited to fine knife work. Once you hold one for yourself you’ll know you made the right decision and will not be disappointed.

Got the knife yesterday and it's quite nice. I hope the gentleman who had his overextend is able to take advantage of the 5 year warranty (TOPS offers lifetime on fixed blades and 5 years on folders - blades are made in USA and everything else is made in Italy by Maserin). Lockup is excellent, one-handed flipper deployment is smooth, with a very positive detent. It comes insanely sharp, with an even scandi grind and a barely perceptible micro-bevel. The micarta scales provide good grip, and are ever so gritty. It's really nice that you can run the clip for righty or lefty carry. The only gripe I have is that it's almost too overbuilt. That is the TOPS trademark, but it would be a bit lighter.

I have a few items from TOPS. Always good quality blades. I would compare this to my Kershaw 1776 (probably have gone through 10 Kershaw knives over the years). The out of the box edge is great, I cut through birch plywood no problem today. The only gripe I have is when cutting harder materials(like that plywood) the liner lock kind of got stuck, I think once the knife is broken in this won't be an issue. And the bering system on the MINI SCANDI FOLDER is good and smooth but not as responsive as the spring assist on the 1776. That being said the materials/build on the MINI SCANDI FOLDER feel like they will out last the 1776. I have been carrying the 1776 for a year or so. That and a folding box cutter are the two blades I use the most in the art room I teach in. I can make hundreds of cuts into cardboard, sharpen 50-100 pencils in a week. I prefer using a knife and sand paper to an electric sharpener. Over all I think the MINI SCANDI FOLDER is worth the money.

This is a great knife. Fantastic blade that cuts with ease and sharp out if the box. The flip mechanism is crisp and satisfying to fidget with over and again. The handle could be better for the money but is in no way bad and will endure all but a fire. Made in Italy though most Tops are made in U.S.A.

Tops Knives produce some of the best knives ever...tactical, EDC, survival. this knife is almost perfect; Blade very strong, thicker then others, well balanced, high quality, handle /grip perfect, flipper opening very fast, great size. Well worth the price...you can pay 30.00 for a few knives that don't stand up or purchase a Tops Knive that will last till you loose it ha ha. I have 4 different Tops Knives ;survival , tactical, small fixed blade C.A.T 200s and the mini scandi lockblade. all very excellent, stay sharpe best I have seen. I am not a knife collector just want a great working knife.
