Bic Pencils Extra Fun Stripes 24 Pack

I received this product for free, in return for my honest, unbiased review after use.It's that time of year again, time to spend money on school supplies. Time to fight the young ones for affordable school supplies, yet they want the fun and trendy supplies that tend to cost so much more. Enter these pencils. Now, we all have to admit, the traditional yellow pencils work, but they are boring. Uniform. Blah. These pencils are colorful, and yet still affordable.So, my kids were delighted to get to try out a new pencil, in hopes I would forever buy the fun and bright colored barrels that still wrote as a normal lead pencil color.I have 4 kids, so I immediately loved that the variety of colors meant that they would not fight over whose pencil was whose as we tested these babies our. It was easy to see which one had blue, red, yellow, green etc.Three of my kids are "hard" pressers with their pencils. The kind that you worry of what damage they are doing underneath the main piece of paper. Two pencils did fantastic. Never broke. One tip did break. So here was my opportunity to test out the sharpening skills. The sharpening was smooth. There weren't any wood flakes or uneven lead. It maintained the point color. I was impressed. I was also impressed that the eraser did not break or crack when used. It also did not tear paper and did a fabulous job of erasing what it was supposed to erase.I have since purchased a few packs to donate to a school backpack drive for families that need help with school supplies. All kids should have fun and colorful pencils!

The media could not be loaded.  My kids, ages 10 and 6, love their new BIC XTRA-Fun #2 lead pencils with two-toned striped barrels. I love that these have break-resistant lead and latex-free erasers, easy to sharpen, and are durable with long lasting leads and erasers, and are certified non-toxic. I like that these are #2 pencils so that the kids can use them at school. Although, my daughter says that she don't want to take them to school because she would have to share them with the class. Because at her school, you buy the supplies on the list, and they put everyone's in a big pile and pass them out - so she may get what another kid at school brought in, etc. So she wants to keep hers at home so she can use them here. But she really loves these - as they are colorful, she loves the stripes. They come in Purple, Green, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Red, and Light Blue, and Light Green - Stripes. I recieved the BIC extra fun stripes pencils free from BIC to try through bzzagent for my opinion. As a parent of a 3rd grader, I was surprised at how excited my daughter was when I showed her the pencils. First and foremost, she loved the fun colors and stripes. When I gave her the pack, she instantly noticed the nice eraser and feel. After a week of use (writing in her daily journal), she still prefers this over our other #2 pencils and has requested...well, begged actually, to get the "cool pencils " for school. Child approved!As an elementary teacher, I am most excited to try these out based on their promise to have extra hard lead that is hard to break. I feel like I am constantly sharpening broken pencils! I also feel that writing with "cool pencils " may be a great incentive for some of my writers. Selfishly, I am excited to have a different pencil so it will be easier to track as so many grow a pair of feet and rUn off:)Honestly, they are a little pricy. That is my only gripe, but last yr I bought a ton of cheap #2 pencils and the erasers were horrible and the pencils were essentially gone after 1 sharpening. So...I guess you get what you pay for!

Bought these for my nephew. He loved them. He had to be careful at school because kids kept trying to walk away with them lol

I actually received these pencils through buzzagent. I was almost positive they would be just like any other pencil. Oh was I mistaken. My six year old loves to use these over any other number 2 pencil. She is even taking a pack to school. I was also surprised at how well the eraser works. The price though is a little high but the fact that my kids can use them and not have to go every few times and sharpen them makes up for that.

These are probably the most expensive pencils I purchased, but I have to say - they worth the extra price. They are sturdy, pretty, writes very well, and erasers work great as well. My son loves them, so are the entire family!

I think the pencils are cute, my kids don't like that they bend.
