I did a lot of research, and discovered that hummingbirds are very sensitive to and adversely affected by preservatives, and this has only natural vitamin C as a preservative. What I read also said that plain sugar water was not good for them, but was highly addictive, and would affect, among other things, their ability to lay healthy eggs. This has calcium in it to help with egg production, has vitamins and even some real floral nectar in it. The first day, it attracted 2 hummingbirds, then evidently the word went out. By day 3 I had 10 hummingbirds, quite a few of which were babies. A word of caution, you need to hang feeders at a decent distance from each other, as hummingbirds are very territorial. I had one male that tried to drive everyone else away, but I hung four feeders over such a distance, that he wore himself out and finally gave up on his attempts to monopolize them. But it has been such a joy to watch the babies grow up, and to know that I am feeding them something that, unlike sugar water, is really good for them.

This is the best nectar on the market. The hummingbirds love this stuff.

I found this product at a local bird store and when I could no longer find it locally, I ordered through Amazon. Easy to use concentration. The hummingbirds love it. Colorless and seems healthier for them than the red generic brand. The hummingbirds found the feeder within mins of hanging it. After a few weeks we had multiple hummingbirds fighting for the feeder. Great stuff!

I live in Texas and don't have alot of Hummers here but have tried the last 3 summers to get them to use a feeder. I have wasted alot of money on products they dont like .This did the trick. They love this. I have several pairs of humming birds enjoying this all day everyday. At first they didn't seem to like it then I switched from tap water to mix with to bottled water and just like that they started coming everyday. Since it's concentrated it lasts longer than you would think. I am a huge fan and will always use this in my feeders.

So, as pictured, Sweet Nectar with spring water - this is important, combined with a patterned glass feeder - had me go from a couple of birds a day to sometimes 7-8 buzzing about fighting for a perch. Perhaps the only downside to this is droppings on my balcony - and buying more nectar before they go through it! But, if you think about how much humans have screwed up the environment, including terrible air quality at the moment in southern California, providing nutritious food for these amazing little creatures seems a small recompense.

I received the product within one week of ordering! I love the fact that it is made with natural ingredients and has added calcium to nourish the birds and their eggs. Also, no artificial colors added and it is made in the USA. Very important to me!

Of all the hummingbird liquid foods, this is the only one that has attracted them for my feeder on the 2nd floor. IMO it must be the infused scent. I don't know, but it does attract 'em.
