Perfect "gentleman's" UK friendly and people-friendly everyday carry
Perfect for £16. Feels fantastic in the hand!Super light 29g / 1oz.Non-locking, well under 3", even including the bit between the blade and the handle.Stronger springs than plastic-handle versions.Nice Victorinox quality knife on one side. Not razor sharp out of the box but close.Great little bottle/can opener on the other side can also be used as a philips and flat head scrrewdriver, a scraper, micro pry tool, wire bender, wire stripper, stapler lifter and maybe also a box opener (might need sharpening for that).Consider going up to a Pioneer (2 layers) for a stronger pry tool, (but 71g weight).Photo comparisons are with Rambler and 3-layer Pioneer X.

Super light and slim, yet very useful.
Slim, light, minimalist and capable. The perfect choice for dress trousers or suits where a bulky pocket knife would not be appropriate. Effortlessly carries in a shirt pocket. Ideal size for a bit of food prep, including apples, etc. Cleaning is easy. Don’t put it in the dishwasher! Oil the joints from time to time.Responds well to stropping on cardboard smeared with buffing compound or jeweller’s rouge. Or a good leather strop, of course.Lifetime warranty, consistently good build quality, affordable and widely available, so if lost, it’s easily replaced.A good choice for including in a pocket organiser; perhaps in a first aid kit. Would add very little weight and bulk to a lady‘s handbag. Would perhaps be a good candidate for someone into ultralight camping / trekking. Multi-use tool will fit some Phillips screws by using a corner of the tip. Done that. Flexes a bit whilst opening heavier tins like salmon, but it does work, despite the tin opener not having a sharp edge like the more usual Vic type. I was of two minds whether to file a sharp bevel to better pierce tins but decided against it so as to be able to use the multi-use tool as a screwdriver, as said. This model is a good, lighter alternative to the very popular Vic Alox Cadet, also a firm favourite, if you can do without the nail file, heavier screwdriver, fine screwdriver, and key ring. It’s the same size and shape as the Cadet, but thinner, with just one tool layer; the Cadet has two.Note that the multi-use tool will not take as much torque as the screwdriver on the more robust Victorinox models, and is only up to quite light prying. Don’t use the main blade for any prying, by the way. Easy way to snap the tip off or break the blade anywhere along its length. And don’t throw it. Also a good way to break the tip off a pocket knife. Don’t ask how I know this...When used responsibly Vic Swiss Army Knives (SAKs) last for years and years; many are passed down to the next generation.Excellent service by the seller. Very well recommended!

Ideal as a carry around penknife
I have had a few penknives over the years including a few Victorinox. The blade on this knife is a good size and I think preferable to the very small keyring size Victorinox. I know that apparently the steel doesn't hold an edge as well as some knives and I'm sure that it would be of limited use as compared with some if you want to kill and gut a wild boar but, as a carry around extremely useful knife (for opening boxes, cutting string and ties etc, tightening screws) which takes up what seems like virtually no space in a pocket, I think that it is ideal and it is very easily sharpened to a very good edge. And, personally, I prefer the very slim aluminium to the red plastic

My fancy Bantam.
I have had a regular Bantam for a year or three now. It is my go to tool for opening cans. There is an almost Zen like quality about using the Combo tool as a can opener. A little push to get the front in, then a rhythmic swaying to and fro backwards, round and round we go, and before you know it, and all too soon, the can is open. And then you eat. Too easy. I haven't used my expensive electric can opener since buying my Bantam. But I digress. This is about the Gentleman's Bantam, the little Alox beauty that slips so easily into the pocket and can be taken anywhere. Now it is true, the gentleman concerned must attend his gym several times a week, because the springs on this bad boy are STRONG and require more than the normal effort to open the blades. Still, they will last several lifestimes, so your Alox Bantam becomes a family heirloom. And the multitudinous, innumerable uses of the Combo tool do not need my further elaboration. Suffice it to say, you will always be ready for any contingency with this device on your person. I cannot recommend this Alox Bantam highly enough.

Great pocket knife
This is a great little knife. I was looking for something with a good size blade(but still edc legal),that wasn't bulky and didn't have loads of stuff I would never use. This knife fits the bill perfectly. It slips in my pocket and I hardly notice it's there till I need it. I never go out without it.
