Please read full review! I must be honest, I looked for the least expensive version of this item, and yet actually had hoped I would receive a top quality product. As I waited for the product to arrive, I thought that I probably should have spent more money for such an important part. I will be the first to admit I was wrong. Although I do have an issue with the sub par packaging, the quality of the product was excellent! There was a small amount of damage to the zerk fitting on one from getting banged into the other spindle during shipping due to the lack of sufficient packaging. I was still able to use the spindle by removing the damaged fitting and inserting grease directly into the hole and replacing the fitting when the cavity was full. The spindles were actually very good quality, comparable to stock, if not better. I loved the fact that they were completely loaded with all necessary hardware. The attention to detail was nice. The nut for the blade side of the spindle was even notched in to offer a lock nut kind of fit. Another nice feature was having the nut fit completely onto the thread and having a small amount of the stud protrude below the nut. This offers full thread contact from the nut. The factory spindles actually only grab onto about half of the threads from the nut. Both spindles were very smooth and free spinning. I really loved the pre-threaded mounting holes for the spindle to deck mounting locations. This makes for a very easy installation. The factory uses self tapping bolts. Self tapping bolts are ok if you plan on completely removing the deck for the install. If you are like me, I chose to leave the deck on, so the pre tapped holes were paramount! Self tapping bolts offer a slightly better hold than these pre threaded ones, therefore it is recommended to use a liquid Threadlocker on the bolt threads during install. I chose Loctite Threadlocker Blue. Install took only about 10 minutes or so for each side. I mowed the lawn 2 times so far, and all is well. Mower hasn't been this smooth and quiet since it was new. Money well spent! Torque rating for the pulley and blade nuts are 65 ft/lbs each, and the 4 spindle mounting bolts are 20-25 ft/lbs each for those interested. I would definitely buy these again as needed without hesitation!

The bearings are so tight untill the shafts will not turn.

With in 4 hours one unit began making noise and was hot. So I took it off and replaced with old unit with new bearings. The second one began making noise at 10 hour point. As the add claims, no greasing required at first (sealed bearings). THIS IS WHEN I NOTICED THE UNIT WAS MISSING GREASE ZERTs. I tried to remove spindle shaft to inspect bearings but was unable, They would need to be pressed off. I reached out to the company because they wanted that before a bad review. Well, 8 weeks later, still no contact. Don't waste your money.

Worked fine on my John Deere LA105, The grease fitting was smaller than what I had so I bought a new end for my grease gun at tractor supply.
