These are delightful!
I was going to buy an entire box of these off of Amazon, but the reviews swayed me against it. I found a different shop that let me buy a single bar. These reviews made me expect something atrocious, but these are wonderful! I figured I'd address some of the comments to help anyone debating a purchase.I had read that the texture is grainy- Sure, it's a little grainy. Nowhere near what I had expected! There's another brand (unsure if I can say name) that sells a very similar bar but with rice and pea protein. They are fine but like sand. These are NOT. Much more on the chewy side.Addressing too much spice- Again, I disagree. Do you like a spicy gingerbread? If yes, buy these! No? Please don't. It's a personal preference that doesn't necessarily warrant a bad review. These taste like a gingerbread version of a protein bar.I had read that they are a little too sweet. I suppose I could be on board with less sweetener, but please keep in mind I'm intentionally picking these apart for the sake of a review. Other bars, even the ones with whey, have left similar too-sweet aftertastes and they are still delicious and hugely popular everywhere you look.Final note, I prefer these microwaved. The texture goes a little more cakey. I popped it in the microwave for thirty seconds and enjoyed it with almond milk for a snack. But in a meal replacement minded pinch, I'd be happy eating these as is and on the go.Just my thoughts. I hope they help some of you out. Too healthy to pass up if you enjoy the gingerbread-type flavor. I don't want a sea of bad reviews to affect the production of something I truly enjoy.**update--finally bought a full box and these are my new favorite protein bar, hands down

Should have read the reviews.
This actually tasted ok, and the nutritional profile is good. My complaint and reason for the low rating is the gap between the flavor and the name. This is named Ginger Snap - the flavor is purely cinnamon oil, and a *lot* of it. Enough to upset my stomach. Badly. If they tone down the flavor and rename it, this would be awesome. Better still would be if they used actual ginger instead...

Update: I have grown to tolerate the taste of extreme cinnamon flavor
My original review below was one star, but after a few years, changes to my diet (more keto) and getting more knowledge about my health and nutrients that I need in order to feel better, I decided to give this bar another try. I was actually looking for the pegan cinnamon bun bar, but they have been out of it for a while, and this was the closest I could find that had similar ingredients-especially the pumpkin seed protein. I bought mainly because of the high magnesium and iron content, and this bar actually has even higher iron and magnesium than the cinnamon bun. I have found that it tastes better when heated up for about 10-15 seconds. I also noticed that I feel better when I have one of these each day, and actually sleep a little better. I wonder if it has tryptophan in it, as pumpkin seeds do. Anyway, still not crazy about the strong cinnamon flavor, but for the benefits, I'm learning to tolerate it. I'm with the other reviewers, the cinnamon flavor is TOO strong! I like cinnamon, but this makes me want to gag! I hate that I spent $30 on this. The nutrition and ingredient list is impressive, but what good does that do when you can't stand to eat it? I hate to waste money so I am forcing myself to eat 1/2 bar a day to curb my appetite until they are gone, then I will only order the Paleo variety from now on. The sunflower butter flavor is my favorite and only has 150 calories, while still having 20 g of protein and 23 g of fiber and it's made with egg white protein, which I can eat without migraines or stomach upset.

These are Way Better Than Expected
I was super excited when these came today...I have to honestly say I bought them because they were just so, well reviled for lack of a better word, and as a person who loves Julian Bakery's sunflower butter protein bars, I just honestly was curious as to how bad it could possibly be. I also ordered the glazed donut ones last week for more or less the same reason.I personally had no problems with the taste or the texture. I can see that it's not exactly ginger, but honestly, I've tasted store bought ginger cookies that tasted pretty similar, so...I can kinda see why they went with the name despite the use of cinnamon as the flavoring. Though given the way this product is being roasted on Amazon for being flavored so heavily with cinnamon, I think that probably if the company renamed this product it would solve a bunch of their problems. From my perspective, this is a superior product and a superior bar. The first thing I judge these by is naturalness of ingredients, and this product meats my criteria. The second thing is calorie count...I am not interested in touching a protein bar over 200 kcal, it's just not going to happen. I'm not going to touch a bar that has sugar in it, or is sweetened with artificial sweeteners known to have harmful effects on the body either, and since these are sweetened with a low glycemic product derived from monks fruit, they again meet my criteria. Then I look at the amount of protein in it. These are high enough to again meet my criteria, though I'm not Vegan, I think the care there would be making sure you're balancing it out with your other sources to make sure you've got all of the amino acids you need. As an added plus, these are also loaded with fiber, which is again something I love.Because there were so many negative reviews I honestly wasn't expecting much, but I was actually very surprised by how much I did like them. I like them better then the glazed donuts protein bars from this company, which do have some texture issues, and I honestly can't decide if I like them any less than the sunflower butter ones. Those I prefer the protein source on, but honestly, my body hummed and purred and felt pretty happy after I ate this (which is the last thing I look for, is "how does it make me feel afterwards?"). So I can honestly say, I would buy these again, I thought they were pretty stinking awesome.
