Small design flaw, otherwise good enough
Simple but effective tool to get your LS harmonic balancer remounted onto the crankshaft, saves you the trouble of sourcing the parts yourself (you'd need to go to a local bolt supplier, Home Depot doesn't have stuff in this thread pitch). One thing missing is a way to get the bolt out of the crankshaft mounting hole once you're done. They could have done this by machining about half an inch flat to get a wrench onto but they didn't.As a workaround I visited said local bolt supplier and asked for a second nut like the one that comes with it. When done, I threaded the second nut onto the bolt and "jammed" the two together then got an open end wrench on the one closest to the crank. Came out quite easily.

Worked great
Worked nice to install/press on the harmonic balancer for LS1. I did have to add a large nut in between the washers once I got it halfway down. So like others say some additional washers or something else to fill in space might be needed. I also greased the washers like someone suggested and I had zero issues removing the stud by hand when done.

Life saver
Life saver when it comes to reinstalling the harmonic balancer. Main reason? It's longer than the original bolt and it will prevent your bolt from messing up the thread even if you do catch onto the thread, it's just too short. You do reuse the original bolt once you get that balancer back on.

Simple, but works
Sure, it's just a piece of hardened threaded rod, a nut and 2 washers. Anyone can make this on their own with a trip to the hardware store and a little bit of labor. I personally decided I'd rather let someone else do the work and pay a little extra for the convenience. Tool works great, exactly as it's supposed to. I did grind 2 parallel flats in the very end of the threaded rod that fits a 12mm open ended wrench since common sense would tell you it will likely get stuck in the crankshaft after the pulley gets installed. Worked great, should really consider adding that feature to the tool. Otherwise great product. Surprised I didnt think of it. Always used a longer bolt to install the pulley, but then you have to be careful not to bottom it out in the crank and damage threads.

For the money
This was by far the easiest to install my harmonic balancer on my chevy k1500HD. I tried the tool rental at the auto parts store and got no where fast. Ordered this bolt, was deliverd the next day and bolhed right in with plenty of shaft to press the balancer on the crankshaft.Thank Amazon.
