Lovely socks initially. However, after washing &drying (on low temp, btw)... the 6-8.5/7-9.5 size shrunk up enough that they are too small now. I wear size 9W or 7.5M and my feet are extremely wide. Not sure I will try the next size up... heels may end up on my Achilles tendon. If you have very wide feet you might want to try a different sock altogether.

Fox River has taken over from Hanes as my go-to choice of socks. These are springy and VERY well-cushioned. The shaft is nicely elastic without being that death grip type that leaves your calf looking compressed after you take them off. They're great under my Vans, boots, or the trail running shoes I wear bicycling. One possible con is that because of the high level of cushioning, they can get a bit mashed out if you wear them either without shoes - especially on hardwood floors - or hiking in roomier shoes or boots. Fox River offers other thinner socks which are better for those types of traffic. I've tried the others and regularly recommend them all to friends and family for the uses they're each made for. There are great textiles from all over the work, but I have extra regard for these being made with such high quality in the USA when global industries are so competitive.

The socks fit good. They support your foot. Your feet don’t feel tired at the end of the day.

Old school Fully cushioned. They are how socks use to be made. Does NOT strangle your calf, soft and SUPER durable. I've been wearing them for well over a year. They don't shrink, haven't thinned, no piling and the inside is just as soft as when I first bought them =)
