desertcart.com: Arcshell Premium Extra Large Pop Up Beach Tent UPF 50+ : Sports & Outdoors Review: Good Size, Great Buy! - I’m so happy I decided to go with this cabana! The pictures don’t do it justice. To start out, we walked a few blocks from the car to the beach and it wasn’t too heavy or awkward to carry. A carrying bag comes with it. After arriving on the beach, it took us 5min or less to set up. We didn’t watch any videos, just went by the 3 steps on the carrying bag. It was not difficult at all. After setting up, I was very happy with the size and quality. 2 adults and 2 children were able to sit inside comfortably along with snacks. We used a beach blanket to extend the space into the open area by unzipping the cabana and placing the beach blanket and towels over the unzipped flap. Even if not extending the space, you need some type of weight to hold down the flap. Our set up gave us a nice mix of direct sunlight and an awesome place to retreat. So after lying out in the sun and making sand castles, we sat in the cabana and ate our food. My favorite feature inside the cabana is the optional windows. They Velcro close and can easily be pulled down and secured at the bottom to allow a breeze to come through and still feel like your alongside others on the beach. It’s 3 windows total. When it was time to go, we zipped up the front of the cabana and changed in the inside. It gives you all the privacy needed and is really convenient. After changing, it took us about 5 mins to break the cabana down and put it back into the back for an easy carry and storage. I gave the cabana 5 out of 5 because it was highly functional, quick set up/breakdown, spacious, good quality and not heavy to carry. I’d recommend! Review: Easy to use, portable and light weight - I like how easy it is to assemble or disassemble, without any fuss, having to deal with miscellaneous spare parts, etc. Sand, wet or dry, falls right off, so when you pack it back up in its bag, you won't be tracking half the beach back with you. If you have older toddlers / kids, then the flap that extends out isn't much an issue, since those little runts will track sand everywhere regardless of how careful or how often you warn those hearing-aid-less trolls. If you have an infant or baby and are worried about tracking sand inside the tent, then purchase a nice big beach blanket to lay over the tent's flap so that your minimizing the amount of sand you'll potentially track into the tent. I also like the sack anchors where you can simply scoop sand into. Not too fond of the Velcro for keeping the window flaps in-place, but more than likely you'll have them lowered, and the life of the Velcro will surely outlast the utilization of the tent for most people, who'll simply be using this to supplement their trips to the beach or similar. The pockets are of convenience to stash stuff in to prevent sand contamination, i.e. a condensating water bottle or cell phone. The portability, ease of disassembly and repacking in the carry bag, and lightweight features puts this product outside that bubble of thought, "Do we really need to bring this junk to the beach?", as you're either loading the vehicle at home or unloading it at the beach parking lot. (And particularly for that father who's lugging all the beach crap more than 10yds; but if you're afforded access to a drive-on beach, then it's a no-brainer). In other words, the benefits outweigh the negatives when that thought inevitably enters into every father's head (or, parent's head), "Can I carry all this junk down to the beach b/c I sure darn ain't making a second trip since that may relate to THREE trips at the end-of-the-day end of things when wife and kids aren't going to be carrying as much junk as they did fresh and happy hitting up the beach in the beginning because their suddenly bogged down with a one hundred-pound damp towel." Anywho, I digress. This thing affords plenty of shade, ventilation, beats lugging an oversized umbrella that needs staking deep into the sand, and sturdy enough in decent wind conditions with its sand anchors that you probably won't need to additional anchoring.

Amazing beach tent, easy to set up and disassemble
This was the best purchase ever for our beach trip! This tent was SO easy to set up, it stayed up in 20mph wind, and was easy to take down and put away. While it was a bit of a challenge setting up in the big wind and required both me and my husband, it still took a total of 5 minutes to get it up and the sand bags filled. It was so windy the window flaps didn’t stay completely closed since they are velcro, but I didn’t mind because my own hat kept flying off with the weather! If it was a light breeze day, you could easily set this up alone and everything would stay put. To open, lay it out and pull the two strings on the top and it pops open! To close, bend the center pole area, and fold the outside legs in, and wrap the material around like an umbrella. The whole thing is light and easy to carry, and you don’t have to cram it in the carry case either because it will all fit. There’s a good YouTube video that demonstrates how to set it up/put it away and I recommend practicing once at home first. In a nutshell, buy this tent! It protected my family (toddler and baby) from the sun, and it also has 2 mesh pockets on the inside to store your personal items, and a hook hanging in the center which I assume can hang a lamp..? Sand shakes off easily too. The front ground flap zips up to close the entrance for privacy. In my pictures you can see it laid out in one, and then having it folded it inside in another (easy hack to shake off excess sand). I also put my own picnic blanket down for extra padding for my baby. Only downside is there’s no anchor for that front flap on the ground, but we just put our flip flops on it and it stayed put! Also, to remove sand from our feet before getting on the tent, we used baby powder inside a sock. You can see how windy it was in my picture! It was a little lopsided from the wind but it stayed put after we filled the sand bags (1 on each side and 2 on the back) and anchored it with the included plastic anchors. We also laid out bags of stuff (food, towels, etc) inside the tent to hold the shape better. Baby had plenty of room to crawl around, and my brother basically lounged comfortably in the tent the whole time.
