It works, but too expensive.
I've bought this for a very old pen, and this was the most suiting type of refill (not ideal though, I had to make back plastic insert thinner). It's OK, but if I had choice, I'd bus something less expensive.

Acceptable, but not a perfect match for the original
I've been using this PhD pen since I was in college in the late 1980's. Now that the original Paper Mate cartridges are so expensive, I decided to try the Schneider refills. The Schneider is about 2 mm longer and a bit thinner. After all these years of using the pen, the difference is very noticeable since it has less of a stout feel to it. I am hoping that I'll get used to it and it won't be a problem. The ink is flowing well enough, and the color is just a tiny shade off of the rich blue shade of the original. Only a person who is really nutty will notice the difference.

not a perfect fit or an old Papermate Profile pen but seems to work OK.
ink refill works well for an old Papermate Profile pen.. it sticks out proud of the tip a bid further than the papermate refills of past and bends a bit at tip but still writes.

A Wee Bit Too Big
The barrel is just a little too big to fit in my gold Papermate pen (and pencil set) I purchased in 1976 and have somehow managed to keep all these years. The Schnneider is probably no more than a mm wider than the empty Papermate cartridge but it's enough to make a difference between fitting and not fitting for this pen.

Fits an old pen and writes very well.
I am using this refill to keep a Papermate PowerPoint ballpoint pen going. I have used this pen continuously for 45 years! When the last of my Papermate refills finally ran out, I was afraid I was going to have to retire the pen that took me through college, graduate school and beyond. I was so excited when I found this refill with dimensions that matched my empty one. I decided to give it a try. It fits perfectly and works great! So happy to keep my favorite pen in business. Writes very smoothly.

Have to scribble to start the ink flow
I bought 2 of the original equipment Papermate refills from the local office store for my two Papermate PhD pens. They were terrible, requiring a lot of effort and scribbling to keep them writing. They went back to the office store.I ordered these next and put one in each pen. They are much better than the Papermate refills, but have had the same problem, just not as bad. Once I get the ink flowing they work fine until I stop writing for more than a minute or so, then I have to scribble again to get them working again. Both cartridges are the same. This is very frustrating.I should have returned both refills, but I thought they might improve as I used them more. No such luck!I would not buy these again.

Perfect replacement for my fave Papermate pen !
Perfect replacement for the old discontinued Papermate Lubriglide ink cartridges (see photo I’ve included).

Fits vintage Papermate pens.
The only refill I could find to fit my slim Papermate vintage pen. The ink is smooth and nice to write with. My first order got lost but after a refund from Amazon, I tried again with success!

OK pour mon papermate
J'ai acheté cette cartouche pour mon vieux papermate (photo). Evidemment cela n'a pas fonctionné.Il faut couper avec un cutter le bout en plastique de la cartouche . Attention c'est de l'ordre du millimètre , trop et c'est foutu.
