This book is indeed life changing spiritual book. This book is very unique of its own among other spiritual texts. And via this book Swami Sri Sivananda has revealed many unknown facts about mind with detailed elaboration, evidences and real life examples that every single human being can relate to itself easily. Moreover, as title speaks by itself that given book also provides practical tactics and steps to control one's mind which will ultimately leads to material as well as spiritual success. This book is super helpful and motivative for any level of spiritual aspirants. I highly recommend "Mind its Mysteries and Control" of Swami Sri Sivananda.

DEAR FRIENDS, OH MY GOSH. THIS BOOK IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. IT IS LIFE CHANGING, TRANSFORMING, AND NOTHING SHORT OF ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! SWAMI SIVANANDA IS SO PRACTICAL, HIS WRITING IS SO COMPREHENSIBLE ON SUBJECTS THAT ARE VERY COMPLEX, AND THIS ABILITY COMES FROM THE FACT THAT HE IS A TRUE MASTER. WE ARE SO FORTUNATE THAT HE WROTE AS MUCH AS HE DID WHILE ALIVE. THE BENEFIT THAT TRUE SPIRITUAL SEEKERS RECEIVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR WORLD, BEGINNING WITH THEMSELVES, IS IMMEASUREABLE. TRADITIONAL PSYCHOLOGISTS COULD LEARN COLOSSOL AMOUNTS ABOUT THE HUMAN MIND IF THEY STUDIED HIS TEACHINGS, WHICH ARE NOT REALLY HIS, BUT ARE UNVERSAL TRUTHS. THE GREATEST GIFT ANY PERSON CAN GIVE TO ANOTHER PERSON IS BY NO DOUBT ~ WISDOM~ AND THIS SAINT HAS DONE JUST THAT! I FOR ONE AM SO SO GRATEFUL AND I LITERALLY HAVE TRANSFORMED MYSELF BY STUDYING AND APPLYING WHAT I LEARNED. ALL HIS BOOKS ARE GOOD, BUT THIS ONE IS AT THE APEX FOR ME.

Excellent treatise for senior yoga students.

Profound falls short. If you are on a path of Dharma, this book will assist in the mind and identification. Wow. No one has ever presented such direct and observable work for the mind. Bet you think your thoughts are from you. The thoughts, like the waves of an ocean, will never cease, blocking the way to our Cosmic Beloved. This book is a key, to unlock what the mind is, what can be done to overcome the 'hurdle' of the mind to achieve oneness with the Divine. The author is profound to me, being the lineage of my Swami and the father of a local Swami that studied directly under him here in Florida. Thank you, God, for writing such a profound understanding of our minds and what we can do to worship You, the Greatest Guru, I pay obeisance to you.

This author is incredible. I read his works online as well from online sources. I think the only odd thing I realized about this author is how sexist he is. Regardless, if you don't take that into account, I would say he is one of the best spiritual authors I've come across.

This book is sublime. Sivananda's writing is clear, direct and beautiful. Sivananda was a true God-realized man, and in this book he shows to spiritual aspirants how to control the mind and gains liberation. This is clearly a must-read for anyone interested in spirituality and religion.(Those who like Paramahnsa Yogananda will also certainly like him.)

This book is a rare treasure.

If you have ever been tortured by your mind or feelings out of control, get this book. It shows the whole connection between all three (mind, feelings, suffering) and in the process of clarifying same provides real motivation for doing something about it.

We during our lifetime never think or work on the mind, which is the seat of everything. A small clear understanding of each aspect of the mind helps in building a great personality. This book is an essential one for those who want to progress in spiritual life and daily life. The best part is it is in english and with a simple language. JUST BRILLIANT.

Personally I think this is a great book for the very seriously minded yogi, but you have to bear in mind when he wrote it and its originally intended audience. If you can get past that, there is a lot to it. I'm not one of the woke brigade or a snowflake -these should definitely stay away but I am female. If you have good intelligence and can see past the what would now be considered politically incorrect tone to some of it and can cope with the large amount of sanskrit, you will be rewarded

Wonderful book .. should be studied and contemplated by intellectuals , spiritual seekers, students of this modern world. Simply amazing work by a self realized saint of the century.

I have a kindle device but if I buy a e-book on my phone it is often not transferred to the device. I followed all the suggested instructions to solve this issue and gave up. Sometimes, I have to buy same book twice to download in my phone’s kindle and my kindle device, like with this book. It’s very disappointing and basically it’s a double charge for the same book.
